i'm using the same psu as urs, so nothing should I worry if I plug in 4850?

4870 and 4850 can work together as cf?

example: distro bought the stock for 600/pc , they can't just simply sell the same stock for 500/pc as soon as manufacturer announce the price cut, simple.

yes, u r right, ATi and NVIDIA should have some kind of price protection to fix their price whenever they set it up. These days we see they just suka hati announce price cut just for sake of price war,

Like my previous company, they selling their office furniture to the dealer with some table planning , showing that after some period the price should be change to another level , so the dealer would plan their market base on the table given.

well, I will just change my gc when I feel my games required to do so, when I see Far Cry 2 demo, I dont think my current 3870 can handle the games well enough, in Crysis a lot of stuff have been missed but that's ok since I already finished it and for me Crysis is not that real compare to Far Cry 2

but for incoming Far Cry 2, I think I will rugi a lot if I do the same mistake..

so the conclusion, get 4850..

i've tried myself 8800gt and 3870 side by side, clearly 3870 win, only few fps drop

u want proof? go get 2 rigs , 3870 and 8800gt side by side..

about 3 months ago, my colleague ask me to buy 1 full spec pc ( 8800gt ), I tried with Crysis ,yes the fps is smooth, image quality not bad,

and the day after tomorrow I upgraded my pc with sapphire 3870, play Crysis and I noticed the image quality is a bit nicer, bcoz of my fren still havent collected his pc on that time, I tried both pc at the same time with Crysis, I did notice 3870 is slightly better , only a few fps drop while some minor lag when getting into crowd.. well of coz proc also affects the result bcoz i'm just using amd am2 4000+ while my fren's pc is c2d e4600..

for being more clearer, it was not really side by side testing, my pc is on my pc table while my fren's pc is on the floor

sorry i am no pro nor game freak, I just play games when I have time and when I have appetite to play, so I can not tell any technical thingy, proof is a very difficult to show with just some noobie review, even with video record, u have to test with your own eyes

back to topic, so the driver issue only for 4870? how about 4850?
