Too bad 4850 sucks at crossfire.

Overall, 4 cards is worse than 3, and 3 cards is worse than 2 in almost everything except Unreal Tournament 3.

Check out the benchies for WiC and Crysis.

Its already been posted before. Its sucks because there is no driver to stabilize the cross fire yet.

Really? My bad blush.gif

Anyway, getting multi GPU is bad IMO, coz you'll can never ever get 100% out of the 2nd card.

I think Dual GPU is more than enough.
a GX2 or 4870X2 is enough.
*
a single 4850 is enough IMHO... provided that one does not go to super high resolution with AA and AF maxed out.

that's because ati gpus starting from hd 2000 series has an integrated audio processor and that's why u dun hav to connect spdif-out from mobo to gc unlike nv cards because nv gpus lack any audio processor
*
Erm... I thought that 9800 GX2 have audio processors? blink.gif

I've read that HD4850 is priced at USD199 and HD4870 at USD299 and they have performances on par with GTX 260 (USD 399) and GTX 280 (USD 499) respectively. They also use less power.
*
Don't mind if you state your source?

According to the results from this site, 4870 DOESN'T perform at par with GTX 280 although 4870 beats it in terms of price to performance ratio.

u think anyone can fork out rm400? rm400 is like monthly food expenditure for a student.
*
Well, if they can fork our RM650 for 4850, I don't see how can they not fork out another RM400 for 4870.

No idea. blink.gif

RM290 for 560W true power sounds too good to be true.

BTW, what are your crysis settings -- I'm on High 1680x1050; 2x AA. runs at around 25+ FPS, playable but sometimes it gives me a headache when its not smooth. Thinking of turning off the AA but then it might not look so pretty?
I've tried CoD4 with 4x AA and max AF (everything else maxed up) at 1280x1024 res (19 inch LCD monitor). I can't tell the difference between AA+AF and w/o AA+AF by the looks. Or is it just my eye problen? blink.gif

The only difference I noticed is that there is a significant drop in fps.
