if compare cfosspeed with tomato's qos, which 1 is better?
*
cfosspeed QOS setting can specific to some program and make it as priority 1 , but tomato only can recognize the port.

If all pc got a CFosspeed and make xunlei.exe in a lowest class, i think it would be better than tomato QOS.

ok i take back my word from that previous shitty firmware, Victek's have the best Tomato mod anyway, http://victek.is-a-geek.com/tomato.html

after flashed, i make a NVRAM reset then i enable UPNP on, and that just it, trying to test torrent overnight to see whether it have the high latency through router again or not. all settings are on DEFAULT

some screenies

and for some reasons, you cant torrent+surf web, it will cause major high pings for whoknowswhatever reason that was, if anyone have this symptom and have solution for it please help me =D, googled around didn't work though (uploading limited to 5kb/s, so i don't think its my upload bandwidth problem anyway, even ping to my router also have 1k-2.5kms roundtrip)

i can see if i set mac and ip as static when the ip/pc not using it (pc with permission) other pc or person with mac can simply enter to the ip which i allowed internet connection, so they also allowed use internet.

It have any setting to set if want enter internet connection, allowed/permission ip still have to enter password or keyfile are provide by admin? if don't, hope bro Victek can add it in next version. Hope can understand what i try to say here. tq smile.gif

The true power of Tomato firmware, Torrenting with low pings =D, say hello to TomatoSpeedMod, ofc its old but for users who have their router supported can go and give a try http://touristinparadise.blogspot.com/2008...-improving.html , my ping hardly go above 50ms, while utillizing all my bandwidth

when you say torrenting, does it include xunlei or just utorrent? i've done settings all the qos with "surfable web" while torrenting but still experience high pings and lags while gaming.

but too bad the speedmod doesnt have the BW limit features which available in victek's

mac address is tied to hardware and it's not something that you can just change like your ip address. If your users are so capable to spoof your mac address, then i think you need 802.1x along with a AAA server.

tq red, yarp i know mac add is tied, but still can change it to something else, example by http://www.technitium.com/tmac/index.html#download if mac user change more simple. Even on windows im able to scan IP in same network and can change it to which IP which got permission as set it same as ARP binding in MAC and IP. then i can use it when i know the ip (pc) with permission not on their pc.

what u mean by 802.1x ? can u explain me sweat.gif , that y i need some extra function/setting that if ip with permission still need enter password or keyfile provide by admin. just wish if Victek can add something like that or something better in next tomato hehehe icon_rolleyes.gif
