so like chiafoo mentioned. just configure ur rigor modem to act as bridge, and configure your router for PPPoE setup and it'll dial.

im using the modem as yours which is DB102 riger. just set it to bridge connection on riger and PPPOE on WRT54GL. wrt54gl is router not modem, and if your qos is not working, its your setting problem, i guess not the modem's fault. try read through and i think u'll get the proper settings.

and i wonder why my tomato interface looks so different from yours even though the same version we are using

Access control under access restriction . Go speedtest.net check ur upload and dl speed . The outbound is upload speed , normally for 1mb streamyx juz got 400kb/s UL only , so u put the wrong figure . The inbound highest class put none , if not it will limit ur dl speed of highest class.

please read the link i've posted. it's from linksysinfo.org and there's a very detail explanation on QoS and what are the settings for inbound and outbound. please help yourself by at least trying to read it first. all your questions are answered there in detail.

i never classify any of the rules to fall under LOW, even my default i set it to lowest, but the pie chart shown most of the bandwidth falls under LOW when i run xunlei, why is it so?
and has anyone here tried DD-WRT v24 special ed? any feedbacks compare to victek's tomato in terms of QOS?

I thought you got to pay for it. I am not paying for something which can be done for free. This is why I use tomato over any other firmware , because of its easy to use QoS with powerful settings tongue.gif

i just cant get the configuration right for ruling xunlei and flying spaghetti monster even after reading lots of guides and tutorial:
http://www.decimation.com/markw/2007/10/03/tomato-qos-setup/
http://www.wi-fiplanet.com/tutorials/article.php/3800416
http://gazguzla.com/optimize-tomato-qos/
no matter what i do to my gaming client, port forward, qos highest, whenever xunlei starts to run, everything just fail. it was said not to capture xunlei's port, and prioritize only the known port, but still no luck after going through so much of trial and error.
when i classified gaming client with port 1513 to CLASS A, not even 0.01% of the bandwidth show up in the pie chart. im stucked X_X

i think i know what is wrong smile.gif actually your QoS is working. but because you did not check "Reset Class when changing settings".

hence you are still running on the default tomato configuration, which is Default class = low smile.gif

and when you try to test it by cahnging the class for your game to class A, it still doesn't take effect. Because you never check "Reset Class when changing settings".

go check this and try again, i'm sure you will see your QoS graph changing.

if you read in most linksysinfo.org guide on configuring QoS. they always mention to enable "Reset Class when changing settings".

I'm having issues with xunlei on tomato, but not utorrent.
It appears that sometimes, xunlei cheats, check the port numbers and you'd see a lot of Port: 80 activity when Xunlei is running.

Things that might help with Xunlei on Tomato:
-limit the upload speed to very very low
-limit the number of connections
-do not run too many torrents on Xunlei

Xunlei cheats the QoS, that's what I found out, but since it's my housemate that uses it, that's all i recommended to him, if you are the one using it, try use another client that doesn't cheat. The tomato CPU is not powerful enough for the load that Xunlei is giving it, from my experience. The QoS does work with Xunlei turned on, but it has a very slow response when we compare to say...utorrent.

I used ddwrt 2-3 years. I needed ip bandwidth limitation which is only available in professional version.
I pay for and tryed DD-WRT special firmwre, (3-4 versions) of professional firmware.

And guess what?? Its not working!!! shakehead.gif

I pay 16 euro for something that is not work sad.gif . My bad cry.gif

Professional firmware act just like a free ddwrt. Dont let them to take your money like they did to me!

I was asking for help on "Broadcom Customer Downloads & Updates" but they dont give a fcuk! This section of forum can read and write only members which pay for professional firmware. Ofcourse that I expected support for something that I pay for.

I fill form on ddwrt shop site and asked for what I payed for?
They reply after 2 days and just say: We will check this issue and let you know about the results.

And I waited 7 days, then i googleed and find this sir Victek's masterpiece.

mail come to my inbox at 12/14/09 9:44 PM , today is 30.12.2009 , still no answer

i've set the BW limit but its not working, heres my config:
Attached Image

supposingly the download speed at my pc (192.168.1.102) should get a DL ceiling of 500kbps, but under speed test using firefox, the speed max out at 1mbps. i wonder there is smthg wrong going with my settings.

EDIT:
problem solved!
Tomato RAF 1.25.8025.2, everything dun seem to work. but after changing to Tomato RAF 1.25.8515.2 ND, everything works fine, including BW limit and QOS class
