yeah i think so its better that way, no point going through all the hassle again and if u opt for xps u might not have such a valid claim anymore because u have purchased it before if anything is not fine with the laptop...

macbook pro is good. I like the back lighted keyboard.. looks cool at night hehe... but i heard its a bit hard to msn in leopard cause the webcam driver doesnt really work with msn messenger for mac produced by microsoft...

though the is 3rd party application, but i think the colour wont be that nice..

Guys,

Anybody got problem with palm rest heating up.
Any way to measure whether the heat is abnormal?
So far, I can feel the heat but not too sure whether it is normal or abnormal.

yeah seale, also...my latitude d410 which i am using - comes with a 3yr international warranty...the right-click button just died...the hinge is so loose...the screen is washed out....etc...i mean its a business class laptop..come on dell...of course they are sending me replacement parts...promised me a week ago...every morning, someone calls me and says i am coming to your house later....then only to call and say sorry the parts have not arrived...

anyway, i am clear on wht i want...there is a brand i should try to avoid for now... how bout u seale? did u get in touch with the person i refered u to?

gyver,

the palm rest will get hot...but should not be hot to the extend that you are not comfortable...btw, do you guys know how thin the palmrest cover is? its like 3-4 papers put together...its really thin...if it gets abnormally hot, get them to check your comp...mine was apparently caused by the heatsink failing....

LemonG,
I got Dell BT Mouse as well.
Just follow the instructions in the given manual. It should be work fine.

p/s you should add the device in bluetooth devices (in Control Panel) . good luck biggrin.gif

hey..

i bet with u the hard disk brand is seagate right? . U know what dell will tell u.. they say the hard disk is normal...and not defective... the same issue with me. I got 2 units with seagate brand.. both also have tick tick sound..

even do nothing with the pc also got tick tick sound. download stuff.. it will go like tick tick tick... every few seconds..
i did post this issue up before in the old thread...

toshiba launch their new line of laptop... already... so those refunding can opt to get those.. it looks not bad..
