PBB MT definitely offers non sales and non credit related positions. But it’s incredibly limited. Like 5% at most. I won’t say it’s difficult to get this, it’s just limited and opened based on the departments requirements.

QUOTE(haonan6007 @ Apr 17 2018, 04:11 PM) I interviewed at Public Bank in last Wednesday, normally need to wait how long time to get their offer, and how they contact us? by email or phone call? If they are interested to hire u, you will normally get calls within 1-2 days asking for more information. If not then wait for 1-2 weeks whereby they will send emails if you are unsuccessful. |

QUOTE(lolabunny123 @ Apr 17 2018, 08:07 AM) Yes. Joined two months ago and I’m already starting to feel the heat. Not planning to stay for long though.. Not planning to stay long? Isn’t there a contract?Btw all the best for the interview. It’s going to be an easy interview. Just form coherent sentences and be confident (or just fake it lah 😅) and you should be fine. |

QUOTE(hippothou @ Apr 22 2018, 06:45 PM) No contract. Before confirmation (your first 6 months) can give 24 hrs notice. After that, it's one month notice. Reason for not staying long - no career progression. I'm currently doing credit processing and AFAIK that's what I'll be doing until retirement. I know that because that's what my OIC has been doing for the past 25 years. The only way to move up the ladder in Public Bank (or any other banks, really) is by doing sales. If you can bring in the figures, you can expect to be promoted to business manager within a year or two, then after that can become branch manager. If not, you'll just be the same grade officer (A2) until retirement. |

I’m not sure la coz I only followed up with them after the interview. Btw, May I know is they offered you working at your preferred location ? They will ask where do you prefer to work and they will accommodate you la. Most probably if you ask for specific branch they will give you coz most the branches are really short on staff. |

QUOTE(lolabunny123 @ Apr 13 2018, 02:24 PM) To be absolutely frank la.. the job scope for credit analyst @ Public Bank for your first 6 months is basically data entry. SME/Branch or Biz Manager will give you cases (applications either housing or hire purchase) and then all you have to do is input the data onto the system, do the ISO stamping, scan documents onto the system and sometimes do file upkeeping. After that, once you have completed have to do letter offer (LO) for the customer to sign, and then have to print all of the forms required for the customer to sign la. After that, repeat the cycle. May I know what they asked you during your interview for the credit position? Any specific question ? Did they ask about the background of pbb ?So yeah, that’s basically my job scope lah as a trainee credit analyst at Public Bank. I hear sometimes if your branch is short on frontline staff, you have to relieve them. After 6 months when you’re already a confirm staff then you’ll start on doing commercial loans. For commercial loans the process is a bit different la but overall it’s the same. |

QUOTE(KobeKobe93 @ Apr 27 2018, 12:31 AM) Hahha Cannot blow my cover. One of the big branches in KL la. Super busy one..QUOTE(KobeKobe93 @ Apr 27 2018, 12:33 AM) May I know what they asked you during your interview for the credit position? Any specific question ? Did they ask about the background of pbb ? Just your standard interview questions. Since my education background is finance, they did asked for specific questions, like if a company/SME applying for a loan, what are the criteria that we should look for, anything that is needed to look/pay attention at before and while processing the loan. Interview very easy wan lah. |
