I'm actually also more inclined to wait till PC fair to see what freebies they're giving. But well, for those who wants to subscribe for E1762 now, I have a contact to get it.

Just asked in Berjaya Times Square Maxis Centre, they still got the modem, but they are too busy for me to signup...

Well.. If u're using for normal surfing.. I dont think u can reach 1GB per month..
last time, I used my broadband less than 1GB out of 3GB.. (what a waste)
I use my maxis for msn, facebook, checking some email, lowyat forum and few youtube video
my average usage 5hours/day with my netbook at campus..
*
really? seems like i m starting getting interested again....

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Apr 5 2010, 02:12 AM)
Perhaps it's just the way I use internet, my home streamyx data usage does not exceed 2GB/month on average. What's the likelihood of me using more than 1GB on mobile internet? laugh.gif
Oh, any specific forum or website where such discussion are active?
*
wow u r light user, that package no problem to u.
last last time, my usafe already 6-8G per months, now i predict more than 8G.

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Apr 5 2010, 07:34 AM)
dont use the maxis dashboard. use a generic version.
*
'maxis dashboard'apperar few times already in this topic, but i m not understand wat is that? the one with setting, show speed, network info?

Too busy for new customer? sweat.gif

Anyways, I disabled the autoplay in my control panel, and when I connect using MWconn, the popup is gone. It's only there when I use Maxis's mobile connect.

Turns out it's not the bundled software that launch the Maxis website upon getting connected. I tried using third party software (http://mwconn.m.i24.cc/index.html) and the Maxis website still get launched after getting connected.

OMG, what 3G what what!! shocking.gif
I'm just telling a way to connect without open the Maxis Broadband Application.

Hold the Windows Icon + R, type ncpa.cpl
Choose the connection you want, right click and dial?
Without opening that Maxis application, it's annoying zzz, message etc etc etc...

I mean if you connect using Maxis dashboard, you can set it to use 3G only, so it won't fall to EDGE. If you dial up manually, you can't set it. But then it's steady 3G without getting to EDGE after a 1 day use smile.gif
