i wonder why the FSB can't go below 133Mhz, otherwise it won't boot... tongue.gif

Attached Image

i'm not mad, i just want to save electric bill as i use it mainly for P2P at home... tongue.gif

Anyway, the performance at this speed is on par with P4 2.8Ghz, also, i don't need the stock heatsink fan to rotate even on full load... thumbup.gif...if can, i manage to underclock to 100MhzX6 = 600Mhz... laugh.gif

i saw the 965 chipset officially support FSB as low 133Mhz only, so i think can't go lower...anyway i have tried 667Mhz CPU (FSB 111Mhz) and 0.8Vcore, can run in Windows, but cold boot got problem.

anyway still got one week i will torture it again with 3.3Ghz @ 1.56Vcore... flex.gif laugh.gif

can i overclock a pentium dual core e5200 2.53 ghz stock clock on
a p4m-900 via mobo or on a g31/945gc intel mobo?

i want from 2.53 to 3.0-3.2 ghz OC
i dont want to use any cpu cooler or any thing else can i achieve it like this??
i will be using 2gb 667 bus ram or 800 bus ddr2.

even if i use 1 gb ram is it possible??

and also suggest a good brand these chipsets plz.
I am not in MSIA right now.
Is Foxconn, Biostar and ECS good for these chipsets to overclock?
anybody used these brands for these chipsets?
hows it? bcoz they are available in the place where i am right now.

Riddhy, use Bsel mod on 945gc. then u will able to run e5200 at 266fsb.

Get Asrock 945GC board.

i need some advise about my O.C setting

my pc spec is
mobo - GA-P35-DS3
ram - 4GB ; 2x value kingston DDR2 800MHz
proc - e2180

1st setting
-cpu multiplier set to default x10
-cpu freq set to 300
-memory divider at 3.33
so result = cpu clock @3000MHz / memory clock @1000MHz / FSB at 1200MHz
everyday used nothing problem, no crash, no hang, no blue screen, BUT....
test using Everest system stability - had some error after 2~3 minutes test

---------------------------------
2nd setting
-cpu multiplier set to x8
-cpu freq set to 380
-memory divider at 2.5
so result = cpu clock @3040MHz / memory clock @950MHz /FSB at 1520Mhz
test using Everest system stability test - no error at all

so now i stick at 2nd setting.
cause the high FSB...so far i monitor the mobo temperature is arround 30~39' celcius

so, any problem with my setting?
is setting cpu multiplier from default x10 to x8 cause any prob to my proc?

Your ram seems like the weak link. You should run memtest to test for ram stability.

mostly the test failed due to the ram, pump more vdimm or use lower ram divider.

Look at your memory clock. Ur first setting failed because of the high memory clock.
