QUOTE(clawhammer @ May 7 2008, 02:09 PM) I have E2140 and E2160 that can overclock to 3.4Ghz and 3.3Ghz respectively on other motherboards (Gigabyte DS3L, Asus P5KR) but when I put it onto my MARS, it simply can't do more than 37x FSB. I've also bought another new E2140 during that time to try out and it was the same. I've tested with all the BIOS available back then from beta to official BIOS-es with no luck. Maybe you guys can try to see if it gives you 400FSB but base on my experience, it didn't work (at least in my case). However, the MARS took the Core2Duo perfectly fine (E8400 and E8200) i have a stupid suggestion. u have E2140 and mars right?i read from others forum.. u can try close the BSEL2 and get 400/1600Mhz FSB from the E2140.. |

can boot.. but superPI cannot finish. @.@
Added on May 15, 2008, 7:06 pmi use to console myself in physic V=IR V stand for voltage I stand for current R stand for resistor thus we assume R constant, V increase, I increase too But if i'm not wrong, processor is a semi conductor built right? So, the higher the temperature, the lower the resistance, R so when using a PC, heat up, R decrease V need to increase to supply proper current to it.. @@ am i right? QUOTE(Silverfire @ May 15 2008, 08:10 PM) The silicons in all our processors are doped(I guess?) to produce n-type or p-type semiconductor to increase the conductivity, thus I donno whether your heat+ resistance- theory is correct or not... 4:5![]() ![]() when i use MSI dualcore center to Overclock to 3.2Xghz.. QUOTE(emilz @ Aug 3 2008, 10:17 AM) no point if u only stress system wif only 1 orthos open i mention at my post d try to run 2 orthos simultaneously and u will see the result which u r really stress it try to boost more voltage for ur vcore and did u used 3rd party cooler to cool down ur proc my ECS 945GC cannot tweak vcore la brother... no matter how i stress my CPU, it won't surpass more than 60 degree idle core temp at 29 degree oni.. i don't think 3rd party cooler will give me better OC result.. |
