I'll really love to see what u guys do if u were the one running the company. There are lots of airlines closing down due to the fuel price hike, is just a way of staying alive, Tony won't charge baggage fee if the fuel price remain the same.

I too agree that some Airasias' staffs are really "teruk" , there're this kind of people everywhere and so happened that Airasia is such a big icon and easy to pick on, I don't see people picking on eg. Jusco's cashier who really suck.

They're already picking on McD drive through cashiers over the rounding of 1 cent mechanism over at RWI. brows.gif

i can tolerate everything but not picking up water from trash can. i am wondering, how they know there is unopened bottle in the trash? if they were watching you when you throw, why no one sees when they pick up from trash? i feel this is too dramatic.

electronic devices can be turned on during the flight, but not taking off and landing. listen the announcement carefully. i switch on my smartphone and listen to mp3 often, but in offline mode.

good weather always bring me to destination earlier than scheduled. i believe AA will not delay their flight without reason. remember, anything happen and u will be ashes.

always choose 5 star airline if you have budget.

am ex-AA staff but then every airport = different staff. Therefore, not all of you will have bad experiance.

Yet, am also have bad experiance with AA. Last April was my engagement, so we do the ceremony at Kuching (am now working at Putrajaya). After I went back tu Putrajaya my flight is delay an hour. It's ok with me since it'll give me more time with my fiance. But then, when I want to walk down to MarryBrown to have dinner, I was shocked when I saw my boarding pass. Guess what? The staff has changed my flight to earlier 1 which will depart in 15 MIN!!!! shocking.gif lucky I check my boarding pass cuz if I miss this flt then my ticket will be burn vmad.gif

Without no goodbye, no goodbye kiss I rush to board the flight. WAS REALLY SAD that time cuz I just engage with my fiance not more then 48 HOURS then I just left her JUST LIKE THAT without a simple goodbye. cry.gif

I really want to complaint to AA but after I make some investigation of my own.. the person that moved my flight is my own friend. Therefore, I can't do anything much except ... feeling sorry for my fiance.

AirAsia needs to wake up big time

After a one-hour frustrating and futile search for an e-mail address to send my feedback, all I could find on the AirAsia website was a ‘Compliments Archive’ but no avenue for customer feedback, negative or positive. I wonder how the company got all the compliments! Via snail mail, perhaps?

The only e-mail address I could locate was that of the guy in charge of investor relations with big red bold letters below his contact details saying, ‘Only investor relations queries, please’. Not the e-mail address I’m looking for, obviously. Talk about customer service of the Best Low Cost Airline in Asia.

My husband suggested I try and see if this letter will be published by one of the most read newspapers for the discerning community.

I had an enjoyable stay in Hangzhou visiting my brother and was looking forward to coming home. I was on the late night flight scheduled to depart at 23:10 hrs. The flight was slightly delayed coming into Hangzhou due to weather conditions (cyclone), which was understandable, although that meant my two-year-old daughter ran around in the departure hall quite a bit.

After lulling her to sleep with Barney’s ‘We are flying in an airplane, looking out the window…’ just as we took off around midnight, I was looking forward to at least four hours of rest before going to work in the morning. Unfortunately that was not to be, hence this letter.

After the hustle and bustle of the air steward and air stewardesses serving food, getting the trash into bin bags and selling souvenirs, the plane settled into a sleepy mood with the lights being dimmed, slightly past one in the morning, or so I thought.

I was seated on the first row of the economy class together with my husband, daughter and niece in the middle of the plane, with a middle-aged couple on my right across the aisle. Soon after the lights were dimmed and people started to doze off, the air steward (there was only one as far as I could see) and about three or four stewardesses gathered at the area to my right (just in front of the middle-aged couple) and started chatting away on top of their voices in total disregard of the needs of passengers who needed to rest.

They had probably had a long afternoon nap and ready for a major ‘relax session’. Two of them sat on the passenger seats which were unfortunately not occupied (right next to the emergency exit), another one on the crew seat and at least one or two more standing next to the counter (where they have hot water etc).

The situation was no different from a scene in a local market or busy coffee shop or ‘mamak’ stall, the way they were shouting to each other as they chatted away. I’m not kidding. This was against the backdrop of an almost silent cabin where practically everyone (except those of us around these few crew members) was either dozing off or fast asleep.

Too bad I was not able to record some of these ‘shouting chats’ due to restrictions on the use of mobile phones and electronic devices on board. I could see the middle-aged lady in the window seat desperately trying and failing to get any rest.

After some time, the middle-aged man on my right went up and spoke to them to request them to lower their voices, but the noise continued to disturb us. I was getting annoyed and started staring at them. The steward looked at me twice and they continued chatting on top of their voices.

I finally decided to go up to them and asked them if there was anywhere else they could go to chat (like the almost empty ‘business class’ in front), because we were all unable to rest due to the loud noise. By then, my little daughter who was fast asleep had been woken up by them and my husband had to carry her to stop her from crying, despite the ‘fasten-seatbelt’ sign being on throughout due to bad weather.

After I chased them away, the group dispersed from there and continued chatting somewhere further in front for another 15 minutes before the noise died down and I was finally able to get some rest.

I went to work with a very heavy head, the result of a ‘no frills, no sleep’ flight on AirAsia. I believe sleep is not included in the list of ‘frills’ in the AirAsia ‘Company Profile’ web-page.

I am deeply disappointed at the level of professionalism of AirAsia’s crew and this experience was in total contrast to the stories I had read earlier on the in-flight magazine about the quality and innovative work AirAsia was supposed to be doing. If the in-flight culture is anything like what I experienced last night, I do not think the company will go very far.

It is my sincere hope that AirAsia takes this issue seriously and ensures that the culture of its crew in-flight (as well as in other aspects of its services) matches its reputation as the best low- cost airline in Asia and one of the 50 most innovative companies in the world, and will not subject its customers to a flying experience of a sub-standard third rate airline.

http://www1.malaysiakini.com/letters/85314

After I read this, I'm thinking, does Air Asia train their stewards and stewardesses to be like this? They should have known that was a night flight and people want to rest especially elderly and kids, but they chit chat so loud even the elderly requested them to lower their voices, but they still continue.. it's not professional and don't respect the elderly and other passengers at all..

Inilah "5-star"!!!

If they want to chit chat loud loud, do it after they back to LCCT, more suitable for them to shout.. hahaha biggrin.gif

Seriously I agree, from my own experience, well.
Airasia cabin crew standard is really some kind of joke
Even a normal pedestrian won't be acting as respecting-others-sense-lacking as all the cabin crew i have met during airasia flight..all.

Do you guys ever take an earlier flight?

For an example, you purchased a 9pm ticket from KL to JB. But you decided to try your luck to get on-board earlier, at 10am.

Do anyone try that before?

I'm asking because my friend previously took the chance and she was be able to. But that was like years ago so i would like to know now, or recently.

Nothing much to complain other than people rushing like pasar, trying to get the best seats when they're call to line up.

every airline uses the same plane over again la. it's just that air asia does it very quickly. roughly about 30 mins. each plane has their own routes for the day. delays occur when there's a problem with the early morning flights and gets delayed. ends up , every flight will get delayed. personally, i don't think aa has that many delays anymore. in fact i reached penang 15 mins earlier.. the pilot flew damn fast.

i dont think mas pays for accomodation on domestic or short haul routes as well. just doesn't make sense when i can fly there n back on the same day.

i guess it is my bad on the bag issue... but it was jsut a laptop bag...

no no.. the problem is not about liquid.. i fly all around the world and i know the procedures... all aviation flights requires the passenger to remove liquids and i dont think that is a problem... the problem is the liquid that you disposed is given to other passengers to consume... what if the water is bad? then who is to blame? they took it out from the trash can... lol

the problem is not the delay, 5 or 10 or an hour... the problem is there's nothing done to guide the passengers... like telling the passengers to seat down until the plane comes rather then letting those people stand in line while they are flirting with each other..
hmm... yea i agree... there was a heavy downpour... or maybe they used the same plane that just landed instead of a new plane saving on the staff's hotel...

the stewardess was actually kinda short.. i thought the requirements are minimum 160cm for females? i am a short guy @ 165cm but she was 1 head shorter than me... super thick make up with a super thick skin..

btw, the sanitize the plane while the passengers were still on board... lol... what a joke
*
Liquid rules implement to domestic and international for safety reason. Btw, short stewardess doesn't matter. As long they do their job professionally and serve you right. Please don't look down at other people. No discrimination. They love their job. So why not.

If booked online, its 20% much cheaper.

According to rules, it is not permitted but i've seen people chumping on paus and stuff in the plane, try to eat discretely. But anyhow i always find buying food on AirAsia a culinary experience. Their nasi lemak, roti jala and briyani tastes very good. Some people might say its expensive but i find that its fair, even if you eat til u explode its still cheaper than flying on the so called 5 star airlines who serves you snekboks "sanwic" with a rock hard bun.
