The Indo contractor just start laying the structure and already hit problem, as the electric pipe is too low (1 feet plus from top), which cause the structure need to lower, and because of this, the aircorn can't fill into design area sad.gif
Now need to electric folk to jack his pipe line (3 of it) up 6inch to same level with the rest of pipe line which involved hacking again.

So guess please make sure your electrian put the conceal pipe as high as possiable and dont assuming all will be same level sad.gif

Cannot visualize what you wrote. When you say laying structure? 1st floor slab? or ground floor slab? or is it wall?

That is the problem if not sure how to manage construction works... Is not so simple like others profession...

Alot of visualization and ad-hoc thinking..

I know alot of ppl here is the PM for his own Reno works.. But u really need to foresee what is missing prior the works start.. smile.gif

Photo better blink.gif

You could see the conceal electric pipe not same level, which make the plaster ceiling structure need to be low.

Anyone habe picture how it look like if the Dome (107cm/3.5 feets) with a fan of 60inch look like in a regular room?

Reason as my contractor informed me that domes that i purchased all very big (107cm x 15cm) when putting into a room, hence he didn't install it till I check myself first sad.gif

Hope member could saw their photo if have similar condition...
Thanks

the ground floor not mistaken is 9' 6" to 10' ceiling height, drop down 13", and use L box for fan area. That is the best loh.

make the beams as part of your ceiling design. Try not to have a flush the whole ceiling with the bottom of the beams. Else the whole place will look very cramp and uncomfortable smile.gif

You want have flat board + L Box? Or just L box at corner only.
mine condo is 9.5 feet height. I install the flat board + L box required 10".

3" for flat board, 4" for gap between L-box and flat board for light effect and 3" for L-box height size.

My contractor quoted these for plaster ceiling

Living Hall with L-Box design 396 sqf
Dining Hall with normal plastering 208 sqf
Guest room with normal plastering 143 sqf

Of course the above include making the necessary hole for the downlights & T5 (for L Box). Which also means 1sqf=RM6.82!!!

Price is RM5100!!!

the price is fair bro...L-Box 396xRM10=rm3956, normal 351xrm3=rm1053

3956+1053=rm5009+holes+t5~rm5100 thumbup.gif

But the L box is normally by the side of the square area only, as for the rest is normal plastering, is this how it is calculated. My living hall area is 396 based on the plan layout.

Also i forgot to mentioned that the dining plaster ceiling came with 2 half circle forming to look like a 'S'.

Pls adv notworthy.gif
