Hi Jo_da48,

in terms of pricing the cornice is more cheaper than L -box and the purpose of using it is totally different
from each other. They usually using L- box for suspended ceiling and also for square hole while cornice i can say
is for plaster ceiling finishing(At least on the top end) . Some enlightment for you. Hope this help.

The cheapest is to go to a plaster ceiling shop. If u go thru and ID, you pay 10% more. Plaster ceiling is very important, it beautifies a home and hide ugly beams. If your ceiling is not high, u need to spennd more time to plan your plaster ceiling, becuz some plaster guys will just tell u cover there and here - nto very creaative. I think light cove (cover plaster then got narrow slit with light inside) very nice..

In short, u can go to the traditional plaster ceiling shop and get a quote. That wld be the cheapest u can get in town, use that as a benchmark when deciding whether u want to pay more for other supplier due to creativity, convenience (some contractor handle the wiring together with the plaster work, so no need to coordinate), etc.

Yes, but u need to tell how many DL needed for wiring point. and round or square DL. round DL required lower atleast 6" plaster ceiling
after tat you can search any DL tat u like.

You must run the electrical wiring for downlight and fans before plaster ceiling take place. Let the plaster ceiling contractor know which area you wish to put, they will prepare holes for you.

I am just wondering the stated

flat RM2.00-RM2.50 per sq ft

for example if I am going to make plaster ceiling for 250ftsq, assuming RM2 per sqft. it will be RM500, this RM500 actually is the price of raw material only? or price including workmanship (The Final Price I have to pay for this plaster ceiling installation)? or this is very subjective in different area?
