1st of all, what's ur ceiling height? If less than 11 ft, this kind of design is not suitable. Cos it'd make ur interior look small & cramp.

calculated by per sq ft and price differs depending on contractor... the last i heard was RM3-5psf... that was last year...
each hole on the plaster board is about RM50, lights and socket are charged seperatly

Plaster ceiling is not that expensive. Costs from 1k per average room.
It's the fancy plasterwork or cornice that costs more.

needs a few k's i think.. u need the contractor contact? i got 1 contact for plaster ceiling specialist, he did for my parents hse few years back. Workmanship quite ok, so far nothing fall down or loosen, even there's one time the bumbung bocor, the plaster ceiling still intact.. i think u better get contractor to see at your house first then quote. Difficult to estimate here unless u have all the measurement they need.

sry..gona tumpang this thread abit..
I am planning to do plaster ceiling and timber flooring for my living room..which one should I start first?ceiling or flooring? Also, after the plaster ceiling is done, say in the future i have some A/V equipments and I want the wiring to go through the plaster ceiling, is it possible? If yes, how?

I'd say do the flooring last because you do not want the ceiling works to leave dirt and stains on the floor. Hmm... probably easier if you get the wiring laid first above the plaster ceiling. Once your plaster ceiling is installed it's hard for the AV installer to lay the cables unless he cuts a large access hole in your plaster ceiling.

please bare in mind the plaster ceiling price and L box lightthrough price are not the same.
my contractor quoted me RM2.8/sq.ft. and L box is RM15/ft. I think the expensive part is not here, is the cost of downlights, lighting point and installation charges.
