Good news - just got word that the 48fps for "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" in GSC Pavilion KL and GSC Signature (The Gardens Mall) has been approved and tickets are now on sale. Will keep you all posted on more locations later.

Wait... IMAX [3D] at TGV 1U - 48fps or 24fps? I am confused... Some say Normal 3D = 48fps, while some say IMAX = 24fps? Then it depends on location. hmm.gif

Anyhow... I booked for IMAX 3D at TGV 1U. IMAX at 1U... that's a dream (for me at least) for so long. biggrin.gif Swore never to go to Sunway Pyramid IMAX again. Will see how this IMAX works out, else it's fine anyways.

Ticket price is so expensive, RM30.

At first I thought it was 7 rows, but it was actually 12. Seems like there's some issue with booking at the moment.

But 29 seats in a whole row. Now that's something.

For GSC, you can check which hall is showing if you have an e-payment login. Once you've selected the cinema, the movie listing has an 'HFR' to distinguish between 24p and 48p.

It's more of the projector enables you to have disposable 3D glasses.

Yup. Even the normal Couple Seats are usually RM 58. For this movie Sunway & 1U IMAX increased it to RM 68. rclxub.gif

I watched last nite at 1U, 3D 48fps. Video is amazing, very clear. Better than other 3D movie, I can say.

This one you guess correctly, don't expect it to be as amazing as LOTR ...anyway enjoy...

It was TGV 1U right? Dang it... should have booked for HFR3D then instead of IMAX 3D. Just needed assurance it was indeed in 48fps but oh well... at least I can compare this IMAX screen to the one in Sunway Pyramid.
