Maybe can ask TGV to do LOTR Marathon again? lol

Anyway, I just asked TGV on Facebook regarding the availability of HFR 3D for local cinemas, and they said HFR 3D for The Hobbit will be available. Not sure whether they confuse the normal 3D with HFR 3D, but if this true, then great~! thumbup.gif

Very interesting. I wonder which GSC location will have this. I've seen 48fps on an LCD TV demonstration before. It is so smooth that everything is weird. It is so un-movie like.

The intention of Peter Jackson for this movie:

HFR 3D and Dolby Atmos.

the nearest Atmos available? The Embassy Theatre at Wellington New Zealand. sad.gif The oddpart is having the distributor saying Cinemas can handle HFR 3D here! But we're close to 1 week away from the release. Well, we can only hope no delays. sad.gif

Got anymore updates bro?
How to know which screening is 48fps? I'm assuming all IMAX screenings at Sunway will be 48fps, right?

Weird, GSC lists the 3D as 3 minutes shorter than the 2D version.

Got the following update from TGV. Apparently, IMAX version will be 24fps only, not 48fps. Normal 3D will feature 48fps.

Hi Ninja, just to update, we apologise for the info given earlier. We have received an updated info that IMAX The Hobbit will be screening in 24fps instead of 48fps. However, we will be screening normal 3D in 48fps in TGV KLCC, Sunway, Bukit Tinggi, Tebrau City, 1Utama, SetiaWalk, Wangsa Walk. Thanks!
