So no Silmarillion movie or any other form of adaptations of it, at least until who ever that owns the right to it after Christopher Toilken, allows it.

QUOTE
But Jackson won’t make the film — because he’s not allowed to. Peter Jackson doesn’t own the rights to The Silmarillion.

The rights to the book reside in the hands of Christopher Tolkien, J.R.R. Tolkien’s son who published the book. And Christopher Tolkien has made it very clear that he doesn’t like Peter Jackson’s adaptations of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. It gets worse. Christopher Tolkien has also stated that Jackson will never get his hands on the rights to make a Silmarillion movie. He also won’t sell the rights to anyone who might sell them to Jackson. In an interview with Le Monde, Tolkien’s son spoke out about Jackson’s adaptations.

“They gutted the book, making an action movie for 15-25 year olds. And it seems that The Hobbit will be of the same ilk… The gap widened between the beauty, the seriousness of the work, and what it has become is beyond me. This level of marketing reduces to nothing the aesthetic and philosophical significance of this work.”

Finally had time to watch the hobbit trilogy.

Same old format with LOTR trilogy.

But always enjoyable.

Many dots were connected with the LOTR trilogy.

Which makes it really interesting.

How powerful Galadriel (Cate Blanchett) is bruce.gif

Sauron's first attempt to rule Middle- Earth.

Saruman + Sauron team after that. Or maybe it was Saruman all along whom helped Sauron (Necromancer)/

Or Saruman IS the Necromancer.

The ring resurfers.

Thus Sauron's 2nd attempt began after 60 years.

Quite emotional after watching the final one.

And Thranduil look like Saoirse Ronan laugh.gif

He's too 'beautiful' laugh.gif

How can you not love her~

So sweet when she was asked for her hand of marriage.

Personally, LOTR's hobbit scenes were boring to me.

Really like this new trilogy; not boring at all.

And the ending is quite sad sad.gif

Martin Freeman is a fine actor.

I like him.

Revently saw her in 'The Black Panther'.

Watching 'Ghost Stories' later.
