QUOTE(defaultname365 @ Dec 13 2012, 02:12 PM) It was TGV 1U right? Dang it... should have booked for HFR3D then instead of IMAX 3D. Just needed assurance it was indeed in 48fps but oh well... at least I can compare this IMAX screen to the one in Sunway Pyramid. Yes, TGV 1U, I watched HFR3D. Not IMAX...

Quit complaining.

If that's the case, nice I assumed our IMAX 3D is not getting it (I always assume 'we' don't get extra offerings). Still interested in seeing how HFR3D feels though... perhaps second viewing if the film turns out to be great, or just about any excuse to watch again in HFR3D would do it.

The real question right now is if Into Darkness is in 3D or 2D. Even if it's just post converted.

QUOTE(viper76 @ Dec 13 2012, 04:14 PM) There is no Star Trek preview in Hobbit 3D IMAX in Sunway this morning. How can that be? What...? Watching this film is kinda experimental, you got your IMAXes, your HFR3Ds, normal 3Ds, 2D and even plain old normal. From what I've read, it isn't as triumphant as LOTR Trilogy, but it does well enough. Quite a number have called out the pacing of the film and the overall length of the film, citing the early parts of the film to be possibly 'flat' to some.

Too me.. It was great movie but still not in par with the 1st LOTR trilogy. The first hour was kind of bit draggy. To me some scenes is not neccesary yet (save for the extended version ) Through out the movie I try to relate some scene, places and character to the LOTR. Hahaha.. That was fun.. But overall it was a good experience and can't wait for the next installment.. 4/5 for me..

the Hobbit =/= LOTR. We shud stop comparing. its unfair. Both telling different stories but theyre historically connected.
Ive read the book long time ago and ive said Peter Jackson have smartly chose the scenes to to be as flat as the book. This first trilogy is meant to be the pilot of the 3.
If ure a fan of LOTR, some scene will raise the hair at the back of ur neck coz u know the relevance it has with the history of LOTR.

2D is superb. Really clear and impressed from the first moment the movie started
Overall how they shape up the movie was really good. So glad to have 3 parts in this trilogy. Just take my money Peter Jackson. Just take it

it was so-so only. very boring at the beginning but action packed in the second half. not very fresh though. i can watch LOTRs all over again and get the same entertainment out of it
