I would give it 7.5/10

Watched in 3D (but won't comment on it because there was probably something wrong with the calibration).

Movie was good, as expected, more engaging than the first with much more fight scenes (like Two Towers was to the Fellowship of the Ring).

Of course, as usual again, things felt draggy and long-winded. The difference between the Hobbit trilogy and LOTR's is the fact that LOTR was from 3 books and this is from 1.

Some scenes felt purposely stalled - to add to the 2 hours 40 minutes duration which was needless.

but despite that, I thoroughly enjoyed this one. and liked the LOTR realm.

the sauron part was trippy.. lol

Pros:

+ Battle scenes still pretty good.
+ Still retains that general LOTR feel

Cons:

- Script (and execution) was pretty poor for LOTR/Hobbit's standard, some jokes felt forced
- Smaug's death was underwhelming
- Didnt give off the same "feel good feeling" as Return of the King did.
