^Flames now engulfing? What next? Is it as if something or someone does not want the film to happen.

BTW, I definitely believe the movie will be completed and I'm confident it will be great.

It'll work as long as the LOTR cast return. Gosh... Frodo, Sam, Pippin, Merry, Gandalf... Gollum! Back again!

Imagine the advancement of the CG (Weta Digital). Gollum looking better than ever.

I read a snippet Evangeline had been casted in the movie. I was sure she would play an Elf and she does. Pointy ears, and she is Elf-ready !

I mailed GSC last week, and they replied the following:

Very interesting. I wonder which GSC location will have this. I've seen 48fps on an LCD TV demonstration before. It is so smooth that everything is weird. It is so un-movie like.

Thanks bro!

BTW 1Utama TGV already opened?
*
I wonder why would TGV respond saying 48fps is available among other locations, in 1U... hmm.gif

It is still "Opening Soon" for TGV at 1U.

Wait... open already? Yes! No need go to the ridiculous-sardine-packed roads to Sunway Pyramid for IMAX... icon_rolleyes.gif

Wait... IMAX [3D] at TGV 1U - 48fps or 24fps? I am confused... Some say Normal 3D = 48fps, while some say IMAX = 24fps? Then it depends on location. hmm.gif

Anyhow... I booked for IMAX 3D at TGV 1U. IMAX at 1U... that's a dream (for me at least) for so long. biggrin.gif Swore never to go to Sunway Pyramid IMAX again. Will see how this IMAX works out, else it's fine anyways.

Ticket price is so expensive, RM30.

I watched last nite at 1U, 3D 48fps. Video is amazing, very clear. Better than other 3D movie, I can say.

This one you guess correctly, don't expect it to be as amazing as LOTR ...anyway enjoy...
*
It was TGV 1U right? Dang it... should have booked for HFR3D then instead of IMAX 3D. Just needed assurance it was indeed in 48fps but oh well... at least I can compare this IMAX screen to the one in Sunway Pyramid.

You're getting Star Trek Into Darkness for 9 minutes. Quit complaining. tongue.gif
*
Eh... seriously? If that's the case, nice biggrin.gif I assumed our IMAX 3D is not getting it (I always assume 'we' don't get extra offerings).

Still interested in seeing how HFR3D feels though... perhaps second viewing if the film turns out to be great, or just about any excuse to watch again in HFR3D would do it.

There is no Star Trek preview in Hobbit 3D IMAX in Sunway this morning. How can that be?
*
What...? sweat.gif Watching this film is kinda experimental, you got your IMAXes, your HFR3Ds, normal 3Ds, 2D and even plain old normal.

From what I've read, it isn't as triumphant as LOTR Trilogy, but it does well enough. Quite a number have called out the pacing of the film and the overall length of the film, citing the early parts of the film to be possibly 'flat' to some.

I'm more interested in HFR3D feedback... so far it has been positive, but I wonder if the whole 'movie feel' is gone. The use of 48fps could be a turning point for film makers, even the Avatar sequels will be using this.

Can't wait to see this tomorrow night. I'm really hoping it is going to be a blast. Peter Jackson won't let me down, I know it.

I want HFR3D... cry.gif Bought 4 tickets to IMAX 3D (that's 4x RM30) without actually thinking about the whole 48fps thing. Only realized it AFTER buying, silly me. If no "Into The Darkness" 9-minute preview, some more hurt. Then again, it's my first IMAX 3D film. Why can't it be IMAX 3D in HFR3D.

So I was correct in assuming that 'we' don't usually get special offerings. Damn it... Next week might see the movie again in HFR3D if its really good, else, well, there isn't another film in 48fps anytime soon. I would really like to see it for myself. I've seen 48fps on an LCD TV demo before (I think it was 'Smooth Vision') and it looked really bizarre yet eerily life-like.

Sh*t happens. It's not all that bad. Heck, didn't expect to have the 9-minute preview anyways. Got my hopes up and then back down again.
