I have 21 1/2 by 9 kitchen floor (8x8) tiles.

Should come up to about 87 sq ft.

How much roughly is the estimated cost to remove them and retile?

Thanks.

QUOTE(yothim @ Nov 5 2010, 12:53 PM)
guys/girls,

need to ask for advice....i bought a subsale house and need to do renovations on the 2 toilets and other touch up, would like to know to know the estimates for the below:-

1- total reno for the 2 toilets (replace basin, toilet bowl, retile till the ceiling, water proofing)
2- rewiring the whole house or just add another few power point, antenna, data and phone (if the wiring is still ok)
2- change the back and front grill (small+glassdoor). planned to use those maintenance free one....not sure what u call that but definitely not stainless steel
3- waterproof and car porch + fresh layer of concrete
4- awning for the kitchen, and 3 rooms on the 1st floor

There is existing plaster ceiling with downlight n etc, just wanted to replace all of it.

Thanks, my budget is around 20k-30k just for all these.........my uncle will do the tiling for the 1st floor n car porch, so i can hack it myself with the help of my friends. So would like to know if the above is sufficient?

my house size is 20X60
toilet is small, around 4X10

thanks.......

Your budget seem sufficient to me ,But depending on the correct measurements, where is your house?

Need some good advise here.

I ask for quotation lately which cost me RM11k (6K for wet kitchen, 5K for dry Kitchen)

My Wet and dry Kitchen is rather small. Around 1.4m x 2.4m for wet kitchen, and 2.6m x 1.5m for dry kitchen.

The package they give is as follow:

-Concrete table with L shape with 2' x 2' tiles for both kitchen installed with bottom cabinet.
-Install wall cabinet until ceiling.
-Two aluminium sliding window (wet kitchen and the one betweet dry and wet kitchen)
-plaster ceiling to cover pipe,
-Wall tiles to ceiling for wet kitchen only.
-1 Exhause fan.
-2 basin with plumbing work.
-1 unit dish rack.
-folding doors

I'm not sure is it over priced or not. Please give some advise.

@ - (Mr Rudy)
-pay for job only at RM25 per sqf for ground floor and RM20 persqf for upper floor (ground floor price is higher for to do the beam). While the material
to prepare by myself. (Mr Hamdan)

About RM7 per sq ft to remove old tiles, prepare base for new tiles, place new tiles, and to remove the rubbish from condo (cost include all except tiles), is this considered cheap for PJ area?

Hi,

Need some opinions on the quotation below for my car pouch area.

To lay new concrete base c/w cement screeding to cover-up existing landscape area. and labour to lay new floor tiles and skirtings at Car Porch Area.

Total RM5200 (the price not including tiles)
My car pouch size is 20 x 23... the width of the area that need concrete base is around 3 feet...

What do you guys think?

Hi guys, how much roughly will it cost to remove existing tiles and install new 2x2 tiles and skirting? I got quoted about Rm 9 inclusive labor and cement but I need to provide my own tiles. Is it reasonable?
