It's very hard to give you a quote when there's no indication of the area and size.

so the wiring is like those cable tube type?? If hacking into walls would be more expensive rite?

Sorry, I'm very new in this. Manything I still need to learn.

I guess hacking is only one time job , all the wires will go through the same spot.

why not? it must be done

I mean the wall is actually a sliding door, 3 feet of wall and then door... so theoretically it's only 3 feet length of wall

Hi, need some advice here. If your fren is a contractor, will u ask him to renovate yr hse  for the benefit of 1) cheaper rates 2) negotiable ? I have a fren who quote my hse where the price is more expensive than other contractors. Should nego with him on the price or shud i move on with other contractor?

List down what they're doing and materials they are using to compare.

wow i didn't know ID Hacking and dismantling is so expensive.
Your dismantling plaster ceiling alone is equivalent to the cost of installing a new plaster ceiling .
Who is your ID in Penang?

If you use ID in Penang , seriously do expect 30-50% markup in prices.

i wish i have free time like u to arrange contractor myself... sad.gif

For a compromise go for contractor, you have to design , provide them drawings, provide them tiles, paint, sanitary fittings and electrical fittings but the contractor will coordinate between all of them.
Twice a week go the house , double check on their work and feedback to the contractor. I'm doing this now.

Generally things that require coordination together:-

Plaster ceiling, masonary , tiling, electrical(hacking work), plumbing -> One contractor

The rest:-
Painting -> Contractor or seperate freelance/indon depending on price
Woodwork -> Contractor or seperate carpenter depending on price
Grill -> Contractor or seperate grill shop depending on price
Autogate -> Seperate Autogate manufacturer.
Kitchen -> Kitchen specialist or Contractor/carpenter combo

If difference is huge go seperate, if difference is small let the contractor do it.
