Fate/Stay Night? Romance between Shiro and Saber is sweet what
 Romeo x Juliet ... quite okay lar. Full Metal Panic is good coz it has both action and funny moments. Good stuff! Ayashi no Ceres - Quite an old anime, but my personal favourite! Sci-fi, action, drama, etc.  |

Romance almost not available. Air TV/movie Vision of Escaflowne - deep romance in here Banner of the stars and its siblings (everything in it in order) (a lot like escaflowne) - scifi Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou - (how school rumble originated) but direct love story Hoshi no Koe - long distance relationship chobits midori no hibi ai yori aoshi n S2 of it whisper of the heart Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle I think thats about it. If you have PS1/2, I suggest you find Lunar The Silver Star Story Complete. A PS1 game. You will not regret buying that game. Its sole basis is a love story, and a very good story and game in one. |

Magikano animation n art quality arent that bad, in fact its really good (just not as good as Kyo-anime stuff, or watever its was called).

Hi all,
I'm not really into anime or manga. However I've seen Final Fantasy: Advent Children and lately AppleSeed : Ex-Machina and I really do like it. Thus I've been trying hard to look for movies with similar animation in 3d but in vain. I prefer 3 d animation as it looks really cool as compared to 2d. Hence i am asking all you anime fans in here. Can anyone recommend any other movies with similar 3d animation like the abv i mentioned? thks. |

hmmm.... I'd recommend:
Inuyasha (ok.. this is the only 160+ eps that i dont get bored with... unlike naruto or bleach... sry fans.. just my opinion) - despite being an older anime (2001) this anime's packed with everything you can ask for... excitement, good story, romance, heartbreak, confusion, humour, blablabla... Macross (the original one) - if you're an anime fan... gotta watch this 1 Lovely Complex (the best romance anime) - i'm not much of a love story anime type of person... but i watched this series 3 times Akira (its a movie) - i love the concept and difference in the anime. It's one of a kind. Tenchi muyo universe - ok... it gets boring as some parts, but still it's a great anime Claymore - i heard 2nd season's coming out, but the first season's good. Storyline not that fantastic though..... Capeta - go-cart racing anime... the greatest so far =P 12 kingdoms - anime from a novel. It's a great anime, historical though. I was so sad when they stopped production T___T Saiunkoku monogatari - 2nd season's ongoing. another historical anime, and it's great. It's good to see how witty government officials in the past were. Kyou Kara Maou! - ok... i know everyone loves this anime.... haha season 3's ongoing Love Hina - i used to love this anime... when i was a kid =P but now that i think back... its sort of a dull anime that survives on just one objective... Gundam seed - still love this 1... didnt really liked destiny although asuran was my fav character. Vampire Hunter D - ok... my favourite... i even buy the novels there's a few more but just cant get it out... will update when i think of it. My personal recommendation
Higurashi no naku koroni & it's sequel, Higurashi no naku koroni Kai (my avatar is the protagonist) - This is a horror & mystery & violence anime. Very complex plot, so if you cannot cope with complex story, stay away from this anime. The art may not look like it, but honestly, this anime actually scared me a few times. This is probably the most unique anime I ever watched. Seirei no moribito a.k.a. Guardian of the Sacred Spirit - My best ever adventure anime. For perv, no ecchi, romance, whatsoever. Just motherly love, and some great adventure, great storyline. The music is nice too, as expected from Kawai Kenji Code geass - about politics & mecha. Honestly i hate mecha, but i love this anime due to it's storyline. The protagonist, Lelouch, is kinda similar to Yagami Light from Death Note, both hero AND villain. Toki wo kakeru shoujo a.k.a. The Girl Who Leapt through time - A movie about a girl ... (title said it all) + love + tragedy. Death Note - If you can kill anyone you want, who would it be? Me for making this stupid recommendation? Haha, but you need to know my face & my real name. The thing so great about this anime is the extreme tension & suspend. Fate/stay night - An anime that probably everyone would like it. Dark setting, mystery, actions, romance. The bgm is good oso. Like I said, I don't watch much shounen. You said you neither watched shakugan no shana nor my hime right? Try it. I can't gurantee you'll like it though. In Shana, there are many so many new terms, so you might get confused at first. However, Shana is more focused on "romance". So, if you're not into those particular elements, you may don't like it. There are two seasons. I like the 2nd season very much.
I can also recomend fate/stay night. This is actually more to seinen anime, so it's more focused on storyline rather than fightings. The fightings is not that bad nonetheless. Sorry, ican't recommend much of shonen/fightings anime. I'm sure some more forumers here know. see ya~ |

i oso searching a good anime...mystical one is my fav...and hoping u guys could recommend the long running one. most of them i found only around 25-30 ep...currently following bleach, OP, D-Gray.Man...so, basically u know my kind of genre
and yes, done with kenshin, shakugan no shana and fate/stay nite...just finished ikkitousen...good anime but sadly only has 12 ep btw, any suggestion on the good direct download anime site...i'm currently dl from bleachexile. appreciate ur suggestion. Remysix, try Kraga Muffin or Muffin Domain although u need megaupload toolbar to d/l animes. also try out reality-lapse as it's small files, fast d/l and popular too. another good one is anime-eden but need to register to d/l which is free

I say i like those fantasy animes (like, the subject is not NORMAL subject, eg Robots, Interstellar travel, time travelers + cyborg aliens + espers, grim reapers with katanas..... that kinda stuff ah) not too much of Slice of Life anime fan.... Welcome to the NHK! Genshiken 5 centimeters per second Can't really explain what I really liked in those series, but all of them gave me a bittersweet feeling. I'm looking for an anime that deals with more of an adult theme (not hentai), doesn't rely on fan service and harem jokes to fill up an episode. Yeah I know my request is kinda hard, but I hope someone might be able to help. |

I will definitely recommend Monster (You people! Run and watch this! Do not wait). It's a mystery genre with a bit of morality questions thrown in. Imagine The Fugitive (movie+drama) when it gets twisted. Another one is Mushishi. Beware, it tends to move reaaaallllyyyy slow. But when each episode concluded, you started to think like Ginko did, that mushi just living as it is. I, will try to watch Code Greass, since tons of ppl here since to like it. We'll see. |

It's a mystery genre with a bit of morality questions thrown in. Imagine The Fugitive (movie+drama) when it gets twisted. Another one is Mushishi. Beware, it tends to move reaaaallllyyyy slow. But when each episode concluded, you started to think like Ginko did, that mushi just living as it is. I, will try to watch Code Greass, since tons of ppl here since to like it. We'll see. |

Currently only keeping tabs on Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu (m.3.3.w ) and watching an old anime subbed by chihiro Kono Aozora ni Yakusoku Wo.I'm searching something like: Special A Lucky Star!!!!! Miname-ke (okawari is hopelessly hopeless) Clannad Da Capo 2 S.S. Hayate no Gotoku ...juz to name a few... First some review then i need new recommendations.
this is the animes recommended by some of u here Shigurui= nice samurai anime. lots of sword fighting. not my choice of drawings. a bit of hentai.(i didnt know when i got it. honestly)! nice plot. Bakumatsu Kikansetsu=nice drawings. the sword fight is not. plots gets a bit boring as it is very slow. stranger mukoh hadan=didnt find any so now i need fresh animes. preferabbly samurai animes or something close to that. |

The seiyu for male main character is also present her voice for kalen from code geass. Need recommendations. Movies or series <=12 episodes (the shorter the better). I like Ghibli feel-good movies, dead-serious sci-fi like GITS, supernatural, comedy. Romance can be considered if nice like 5 Centimetres. No high school romance or ecchi stuff like Love Hina, please.

Need to get hold of a new anime. I would like something along the lines of Claymore, Berserk, D.gray man, and/or fate stay night. Basically them medieval/ fighting animes with good character development and a decent storyline.

I would actually recommend you guys to watch Trinity Blood or Blood+... bt i dont really recommend these 2 series to christians as its abit 'unreligious'...

Eyeshield 21 Ayakashi Ayashi Kekkaishi One Piece Jigoku Shoujo K-On - very enjoyable! Nodame Cantabile Fruitbaskets Ouran High School Host Club. Worry not. There's plenty of stocks for vandread at any Anime Outlets but they're not original though, just bootlegs. Ask the same request at 'sharing' thread where members posted their anime collection. They might help you.

Seen it and like it. Though the drawing is like 'old' but the story is nice and the fight also somewhat logical hence recommended.

Any mature (not mature as in hentai, mature as in serious/ intelligent) anime came out in the last year? I'm thinking along something like:
MONSTER Patlabor, Ghost in the Shell: StandAlone Complex Makoto Shinkai stuff (The Place Promised in Our Early Days, Voices of a Distant Star) Planetes Haven't seen any anime in the last year (Except Macross Frontier & Code Geass - so don't mind some good new mecha anime suggestions as well ) so would like something that falls in above category. Series or Movie is fine. |

yes...lucky star is a good anime...it about normal school life...no ghost..no alien...no superpower...just normal everyday school life...but extremely funny...recommended u watch lucky star...

Hi , not sure it's the right thread to post on identifying an anime.This anime is long time ago maybe over 15 years or longer.
It's somehow just a cute anime on pets.It had been on air at tv2 14 years ago.The story about a girl raise a pet squirrel sometype like it , iirc grey with black stripe .The story is just much about the girl (british 70s era, not too remember) with the pet squirrel.Name of the squirrel somehow translated as Mappy dub with malay. I can't remember what's the title but took sometime to look at ANN but still no result which the anime production date is way longer than 14 years. Thank you , hope to know what anime is it. |

Have you tried Kimi ni Todoke?  It's not exactly funny but it's in the romance genre. Pretty sweet if you ask me. If you think that's too serious and you prefer a light hearted comedy romance type, you can try Perfect Girl Evolution. Special A's nice too, quite similar to Ouran but no Kyouya factor there! :-)@Danykuh Parody? Gotta be Gintama! One of the best parody shows out there. Recently ended its run , got about 200 episodes. I think Durarara has some parody as well. Btw, jungle wa itsumo hale nochi guu is seriously hilarious. Not for those who can't tolerate silly stuff though. from all anime i ever watched, the only anime that really enlightened me are:
1-Gurren Lagann (damn epic man..watch it by urselves) 2-Code Geass (epic too..great storyline) *these 2 anime might be the best short anime ever exists! 3-Prince of tennis (many great characters with unique personality) 4-Fullmetal Alchemist (overall a great anime but not every episodes are good) 5-Gundam 00 (the only gundam series that i love) 6-Air gear (very good, but sadly it has unfinished ending..manga is better) 7-Soul Eater (some episodes are boring..and also has unfinised ending..go for the manga) *i excluded long/on-going anime like naruto,bleach,one piece because i prefer their manga than anime |

OK, I'm bored recommend me some anime.
stuff I find nice: byousoku 5cm code geass r1 (and not r2) gundam 00 tokyo magnitude 8.0 fate stay night TTGL LoGH and many more basically, my taste are diverse but would prefer to watch something with a) good storyline and/or b) good animation quality and/or c) just plain entertaining would prefer mature series, but anything goes. DO NOT WANT shounen manga adaptation - I'd rather read the manga. |

Hi, any recommendation for mecha anime?
I prefer good storyline like 8th MS, ghost in the shell, macross, patlabor, etc. don't want emo kid like gundam wing or seed. Between, have watched all gundam anime. I have not been really into anime for around 2-3 years, so mecha anime around this time probably I didn't even know about it. |
