Plot Summary:
Natsume Takashi has the ability to see spirits, which he has long kept secret. However, once he inherits a strange book that belonged to his deceased grandmother, Reiko, he discovers the reason why spirits surround him. Containing the names of these spirits, a binding contract was formed between the spirits and the owner of the book. Now, Natsume is determined to free the spirits and dissolve the contracts. With the help of a spirit cat, his days are filled trying to return the names to these spirits.

It pretty interesting anime. Its kinda like Mushi-shi in a way but instead of mushi (bug), he can see youkai/ayakashi etc. He inherited his grandmom's book of friend, which hold name of youkai, which when youkai name has been held, the youkai basically become the owner follower. so, now natsume got the book n with the help of another neko youkai, he determined to free the youkai by returning their name bak. n in the same time, he will recollect some of the youkai n her grandmom memories, during the time she beat the youkai n took their name. n her reason is, since she is lonely, she got those name as their fren. but also which left the youkai loneliness for having their name taken n not called for, n worse, his grandmom already long time dead.

i could say, its awesome n enjoyable show (i had yet to read the manga) but its far more better than kinda disappointing Mokke.

sounds interesting as it's something related to supernatural.

f*ck you beat me to making the thread. i saw this out on BSS and went to look up ANN/anidb and it seems interesting despite the shoujo genre it was labled. but eh, yesterday i was dozing on my chair... like... yea zzzzzz.
so it didnt happen. anyways i dl'ed it, but havent watch, looking forward to it

I watched an episode. It looks okay. Can't see it to be as great as Mushishi, but will see how it goes.

Yeah. Very interesting indeed except the fact is the cat is actually is Big Cat spirit which we will know more in future episode. Very nice animation and seriously, they should show more of the grandma in action with the baseball bat. ^^

just watched first ep and it is indeed interesting. the wierd relationship with the cat also tends to get the plot going pretty well, as what we know currently is the cat do want the book, and the main character giving the "ok" that he can have it should he die. (which could lead to the cat killing him? but he didnt.)

i now Mushi-shi is still da best, but this one still can get some satifactory from wat Mushi-shi can get u.

Sasada is fine but Natsume doesnt seem wan.

this series is nice~~ nyanko sensei...no matter how much he changes, he still looks like a maneki neko to me >_<""' and i think this story is more into the youkai's heart instead of violence..about how Reiko "bashed them up" into being her underlings and how returning their name reminds them or reiko..slightly different than that of mushishi which is good too

good easy going storyline. and the ED is very soothing (although i usually skip it )
and some humor with the kitty is always welcomed hehe

This has a really touching story lor... the ending makes me wanna shed an emo tear.
