My personal recommendation

Higurashi no naku koroni & it's sequel, Higurashi no naku koroni Kai (my avatar is the protagonist)
- This is a horror & mystery & violence anime. Very complex plot, so if you cannot cope with complex story, stay away from this anime. The art may not look like it, but honestly, this anime actually scared me a few times. This is probably the most unique anime I ever watched.

Seirei no moribito a.k.a. Guardian of the Sacred Spirit
- My best ever adventure anime. For perv, no ecchi, romance, whatsoever. Just motherly love, and some great adventure, great storyline. The music is nice too, as expected from Kawai Kenji

Code geass
- about politics & mecha. Honestly i hate mecha, but i love this anime due to it's storyline. The protagonist, Lelouch, is kinda similar to Yagami Light from Death Note, both hero AND villain.

Toki wo kakeru shoujo a.k.a. The Girl Who Leapt through time
- A movie about a girl ... (title said it all) + love + tragedy.

Death Note
- If you can kill anyone you want, who would it be? Me for making this stupid recommendation? Haha, but you need to know my face & my real name. The thing so great about this anime is the extreme tension & suspend.

Fate/stay night
- An anime that probably everyone would like it. Dark setting, mystery, actions, romance. The bgm is good oso. (Kenji again)

Other recommendation includes;
Chobits
Elfen Lied (violent anime, warn)
Ghost Hunt (horror)
Shakugan no Shana (2 seasons)
Tsubasa Chronicle (2 seasons + OVA)
Clannad
My Hime & My Otome (I wont recommend the my otome zwei & sifr)

Wouldn't that anime like Naruto & bleach? Watch that la. If you dislike those or want to watch other than that, hmm, let me see...

1) Tsubasa Chronicle
2) Shakugan no Shana (only certain people may like it)
3) My Hime & my otome (girls do the fighting, great sotryline, but if you dislike girl fighting, so stay away from this anime)
4) Rurouni Kenshin

Honestly, I dont watch much anime from that genre. (fighting, shounen) I watch more seinen anime ;p

Like I said, I don't watch much shounen. You said you neither watched shakugan no shana nor my hime right? Try it. I can't gurantee you'll like it though. In Shana, there are many so many new terms, so you might get confused at first. However, Shana is more focused on "romance". So, if you're not into those particular elements, you may don't like it. There are two seasons. I like the 2nd season very much.

I can also recomend fate/stay night. This is actually more to seinen anime, so it's more focused on storyline rather than fightings. The fightings is not that bad nonetheless.

Sorry, ican't recommend much of shonen/fightings anime. I'm sure some more forumers here know. see ya~

Nope. I searched everywhere including the official website, there's no news regarding season 3, but it doesn't mean there won't be any. I know season 2 is not the end, so there is a possibility of season 3. The duration between season 1 & season 2 was like 2 years, and as season 2 just ended march this year, it's still too early to announce anything. Even the original light novel haven't end yet. If there were to make season 3, then it's good news to me, and for all shana fan.

Vampire Knight is shoujo right? My brother was asking me whether it's good or not. According to review, not so good, but it is still running, so you never know. I enjoyed other shoujo anime such as ouran high school host club & Ghost Hunt. Vampire Knight probably my 3rd shoujo, but is it worth it?

I already post my recomendation in this thread. You can refer to it. I prefer seinen anime, and out of the ordinary. (higurashi my fav. )

Regarding Kara no kyoukai, my expectation was high, the reviwes was good too. But in the end I'm kinda disappointed. The pace is slow, and it's only 50 minutes for a movie. Many things I don't understand. Maybe I have to re-watch it. You can read the novel,(mirror-moon had translated the novle) but that is considered as spoilers. (maybe not).

Anyway, Chi's Sweet Home is 104 episodes? wtf...

hmm really? I probably knew it that the problem wasn't the anime, but myself. Sometimes i read other forums where some noobs says a few anime sucks, but they actually didn't know any japanese literature. Anyway, thanks for the info.
