Cool anime in general:
Kara no Kyoukai
Ghost in the Shell
Rideback
Gunslinger Girl (little girls weilding AK-47s and god-knows-what-other-guns are )

Hey guys, just jumped into Anime, any comedy recommendation.


Watched old animes like

GTO
Ranma

these 2 old anime really crap me out on comedy.

currently I am taking up School Rumble, Ouran. first few EP doesnt really impress me. Not sure I will continue watch or not but I'll judge further by watching more.

So anything better or as good as the two I had watched? *comedy wise. I could care less about any genre,just Comedy > all.

School Rumble is actually more towards romance if you're asking me. With added comedy in immediate effect. Ouran is heavier on romance. There are many comedy series out there. Old stuffs are like Galaxy Angel, Cromartie High School and Azumanga Daioh. But I am not sure about your preferences. There are kinds of comedy as well for me.

Well I got those from google by searching "top Comedy Anime list" doesnt seems to be completely accurate.

Anyway Thanks for the recommendations. I'll look into these old ones. *How about newer ones? Any of them? If I may ask?

tokyo majin gakuen kenpucho... its 2007 one but very nice... good drawing, good style, good plot and epic fighting scene.. but not that popular... and superb op and ed...

Comedic eh . Try Shin Chan for that matter . Or Seitokai Yakuindomo, Seitokai no Ichizon . Maybe Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu or even Beelzebub .

Best for comedy: between Ouran High School Host Club and Full Metal Panic (Fumoffu). Can't decide between the two.

I just browse Ouran across a few EP from start to end, doesnt seems to be consider comedy, it is more heavy on romantic as what Dark steno said. I guess I gonna pass

Unless they start making an anime for Etsusa Ōhashi Series, I don't have any any recommendation for you, maybe others have.



It is a romantic-comedy anime, but I'm not sure if it more into love, since the whole story is all about the friendship of the fellow Host Club members, but honestly said, I think you're better of with Kimi No todoke. I have not watched it yet, but it was highly recommended.

Kimi ni todoke is heavier on romance than Ouran in my opinion. Not even that comedy at all.

Haven't watch it myself, so I can't be sure about it. I just got a lot of recommendation for it.

But if anybody looking for a pure comedy I would suggest Mitsudomoe, that if they are alright with pedo + verbal eechi element within it.
