Any mature (not mature as in hentai, mature as in serious/ intelligent) anime came out in the last year? I'm thinking along something like:

Ghost in the Shell: StandAlone Complex
Makoto Shinkai stuff (The Place Promised in Our Early Days, Voices of a Distant Star)
Planetes

Haven't seen any anime in the last year (Except Macross Frontier & Code Geass - so don't mind some good new mecha anime suggestions as well ) so would like something that falls in above category. Series or Movie is fine.
