those looking for good stories i would recommend :-
1) Monster
2) Gankutsuou (as good as Monster but not as long)
Others :-
1)Golden Boy
2)Detroit Metal City (DMC rocks!!!)
3)Voice of a Distant Star (one-ep. romance OVA)
4)Eden of the East
5)Baccano!
6)Broken Blade (for those who want to try others mech animes than Gundam etc.) - still ongoing.
7)Garei Zero
8)High School of the Dead (still waiting for season 2 to come out)
