Depends on what kind of cage they give you. How old is the hamster? Is the package come with other stuffs?

Its basic hamster cage,the ham i dunno how old but looks bigger than other ham they selling,so i guess its adult one,no other stuff provide....

wow.. danger.. maybe u can put ur hamsters in a tank n cover with the lid? or move house lol..

Added on April 10, 2008, 12:29 amusually adult ham from pet shops r difficult to tame.. make sure it's tame before u buy.. i guess the pet shop wanna get rid of old ham tat's y they offer this package.. up to u actually.. i bought my starter kit in Giant cheras for rm68 inclusive of cage, bedding, food, water bottle, n hamster of cos..
another prob is if u buy in pairs they adult ham will breed soon n u'll end up buying more cages n stuff.. plan everything well b4 u buy ya..

Both of my WW also ran out from their cage. No idea how on earth did they manage to get out but luckily my mum managed to find them both in the bathroom

Hey there, 1st time owner of 2 winter hamsters.

I've had my hamsters for a month or so now, and since they were together, the male hamster kept 'humping' the female hamster, and after a few days, this process stopped. Though I don't think I've ever saw any process of intercourse or anything.

Anyway, my female hamster has become more aggressive nowadays, it keeps biting my palm when I play with it(it didn't use to do that when I first got it), and it seems to have grown fatter. But I'm not really sure if it's just fat or pregnant. It's still very active and runs on the wheel very very often, and loves climbing up here and there, and sometimes it even jumps off the places it climbs

Will it have a miscarriage if it is pregnant? Is it even pregnant? I can't seem to take pictures of it cause it keeps avoiding me and runs around non stop.

I need advice on what to do next, help!

Ur female hammy would be probably pregnant. Female hammy will be aggressive due to pregnancy. Hamster @ the age of 2 months will start breeding. As i know, miscarriage doesnt apply to hamsters. The female will still born it out, the only problem might face is just cannibalism. Maybe other LYN's member wanna add up some points?

Hamster like to keep their foods in pouch. Keeping it there and eat it when they are hungry. Nothing to be scare of, nothing gona happen. lol

my roslan grown bigger after i bought him last 1-2 month...

Thanks a lot! I read through the forums last night and bought a new cage to separate the male and the female hamster already.
Now I'm just nervously waiting for the female hamster to give birth
