@areankim,
What are the available options? I don't suppose there's much to choose from given the RM200k budget, right? |

Where is Pelangi Damansara actually? How about the condo near Kayu Ara? You can see it from KPMG Tower.
BTW, you must be with KPMG. How's life working there? |

@jcvstlys,
U compare the total land area with the total number of units. What is HD is really personal, i guess? *shrugs* |

Try looking at Kota Damansara, considerably lower price and just down the road from pelangi. Btw, 180k to 220k is a big jump, I think 220k gives you a much wider potential list then. Secondary market condos easily can find 220k ones. If you can consider older ones, SS2 1400 sq ft is only 200k-250k.
Also, i think you overestimate the size of 900+sq ft. If it's 3 rooms, it will be very tight, you and your family will feel claustrophobic. If 2 rooms, not so bad. Nobody will want to stay at home |

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jan 2 2008, 10:42 AM) @ferricide, Damansara Perdana looks nice but the units are relatively small. I think it's high density too - then again, most high rises are high density so it's not something u should be too worried about. I've a good friend at DP and her place is quite okie though small but it's sufficient for 1. Another who's just gotten married also lives in DP (where Citibank is). I haven't been up there before and she tells me it's pretty breezy. Haven't had much problems with her unit and if i'm not mistaken there's like 4 to a floor on each block (or was it 8 to a block). Ask urself what ur looking for - we each have our own personal opinion. I don't like too populated places hence have lots to say about it Added on January 2, 2008, 10:43 am@myusername, No No not that one. I mean the one at the cross junction after the row of shoplots where UOB bank is Palm Spring Damansara - not recommended. TOO congested! QUOTE(myusername @ Jan 2 2008, 10:57 AM) More and more units being put on sale now. I think people are offloading. I can see new "for sale" signs coming up every so often. Hi guys, just saw this thread.....and you all suggest DP is the suitable. May I ask whats the condo available there? Is it under construction? Or 2nd hand? Mind to tell me any new condo on sale at DP area? |

If u can afford it, go for a 3 bedroom (make sure the bedrooms aren't closet size!) unit instead of a 2 bedroom unit. And the reason's because it's easier to sell a 3 bedroom unit as compared to a 2 bedroom or studio / 1 bedroom unit.
@viper, I didn't say DP's the best but it sure is better compared to uh.. Bayu Puteri This post has been edited by tinkerbel: Jan 3 2008, 03:51 PM |

Although technically the footage is the same, the presence of one extra room makes the whole place much smaller.@viper, I didn't say DP's the best but it sure is better compared to uh.. Bayu Puteri areankim, you should definitely look around much more then! I was under the impression that you had already looked around and settled on Pelangi. Try searching online ads like iproperty etc for a quick look see |

@myusername,
Yes I get what u mean. I meant if choice permits, get a 3 bedroom unit versus a 2 bedroom unit - of course if the bedroom's not sizeable there's really no point getting a unit with 5 rooms!! I don't know what is big but big should mean sufficient space to walk and feel comfortable after the fittings and furnitures been put in. @areankim, You shouldn't rely on other people for information - u should go seek it urself. I can tell Place A is good but u might not think so. |

@areankim,
I just browsed through iproperty.com.my and did a search for residential units below RM250k in PJ / Selangor and I had 541 results. Perhaps u can go through that too and check - some results are irrelevant as they're bungalow land but at least that'll give you an idea. It does look like there are a couple of units available for sale at Spring Damansara. I saw a Sutera Damansara too, which I think isn't too bad but i haven't been in there to have a look see. Am checking out Bukit Utama this afternoon but that's out of your budget. |

@myusername,
Bukit Utama is the condominium near KBU, opposite Centrepoint. I don't think it's the same as Pelangi Utama. Those condos are just known as Bukit Utama. |

I'm staying at Puncak Damansara, and you might want to check out here. I think it is within your budget and very near to 1-Utama too. If you don't know Puncak Damansara, then do you know the new Pelangi Utama? Pelangi Utama = new = 6 blocks, Puncak Damansara = slighty older = 6 years = 3 blocks. From TV3, you go straight, Shell and Mobil on the left, turn left is Pelangi Utama = Pelangi Damansara 2, another 150 m, turn left again you can see 1 block of low-cost and 3-blocks of Puncak Damansara on your right.
