Can u even get a unit for RM170-RM180k in that area ur looking at?

Is Flora Damansara the one just opposite the Shell station? Anyhow, whether it's Spring, Flora or Summer Damansara *grins* I find that area a little too congested - there's so many blocks and it's so high - a little too populated for my liking!

What about checking out Opal and Sutera or something like that? But those are probably at least twice of what ur expecting to pay

@myusername,
AhHh.. oK... Just too many Damansara's around *grins*. And Flora Damansara's worst than Palm Spring Damansara so my advise is to stay away.

Also at the price it was initially sold, have u asked urself what kinda quality building ur getting, not to mention, neighbourhood blush.gif [just my 2 cents!]

@acbc,

@myusername,
If I didn't get the place wrong, I had a friend who was renting a place there. Been there once and thought it was really bad - it's more like 'low cost' apartment! The lifts weren't working very well and place was dimly lit. Not to mention the amount of units situated on 1 floor - reminds me of a 'rumah panjang'!

I didn't like the finishings either - wouldn't get that place [oopS...]

Is Palm Spring Damansara the one next to the traffic lights? That looks much better (facade wise) from Bayu Puteri. After having been to Bayu Puteri, I don't think much places would fair worse than it!

I wouldn't even put my enemies up at Bayu Puteri ! tongue.gif

@ferricide,
Damansara Perdana looks nice but the units are relatively small. I think it's high density too - then again, most high rises are high density so it's not something u should be too worried about.

I've a good friend at DP and her place is quite okie though small but it's sufficient for 1. Another who's just gotten married also lives in DP (where Citibank is). I haven't been up there before and she tells me it's pretty breezy. Haven't had much problems with her unit and if i'm not mistaken there's like 4 to a floor on each block (or was it 8 to a block).

Ask urself what ur looking for - we each have our own personal opinion. I don't like too populated places hence have lots to say about it tongue.gif

Added on January 2, 2008, 10:43 am@myusername,
No No not that one. I mean the one at the cross junction after the row of shoplots where UOB bank is smile.gif

Palm Spring Damansara - not recommended. TOO congested!

@vreis,
I find property prices at Damansara Perdana overpriced. There's a reason for it being 'Sold Out'. If u notice a lot of the units are still vacant despite it being sold, that's cause it was sold to help push the prices of stocks up!

If u looked carefully perhaps can still find 'low priced' units? *shrugs* I don't like the density so i didn't look too much into it blush.gif

The units were bought up in mass, just to boost stock prices!

I can't say much more here cause it won't be nice but just read between the lines - actually, just read what i'd written and u'll know. A lot of the units weren't bought by individuals !

@cantdecide,
All if not most of those in the property market would know about the Damansara Perdana case. And I certainly don't know any big shots in the property sector; just happen to observe and speak to the right people that's all biggrin.gif

In order to purchase a property, u'll first need to ask urself how much ur willing to spend. Also, u will most certainly have to pay a premium price for any properties within PJ due to its location. If u don't mind, u should look out - at developing areas.

@areankim,
What are the available options? I don't suppose there's much to choose from given the RM200k budget, right?

@jcvstlys,
U compare the total land area with the total number of units. What is HD is really personal, i guess? *shrugs*

If u can afford it, go for a 3 bedroom (make sure the bedrooms aren't closet size!) unit instead of a 2 bedroom unit. And the reason's because it's easier to sell a 3 bedroom unit as compared to a 2 bedroom or studio / 1 bedroom unit.

@viper,
I didn't say DP's the best but it sure is better compared to uh.. Bayu Puteri smile.gif

@myusername,
Yes I get what u mean. I meant if choice permits, get a 3 bedroom unit versus a 2 bedroom unit - of course if the bedroom's not sizeable there's really no point getting a unit with 5 rooms!! I don't know what is big but big should mean sufficient space to walk and feel comfortable after the fittings and furnitures been put in.

@areankim,
You shouldn't rely on other people for information - u should go seek it urself. I can tell Place A is good but u might not think so.

@areankim,
I just browsed through iproperty.com.my and did a search for residential units below RM250k in PJ / Selangor and I had 541 results. Perhaps u can go through that too and check - some results are irrelevant as they're bungalow land but at least that'll give you an idea.

It does look like there are a couple of units available for sale at Spring Damansara. I saw a Sutera Damansara too, which I think isn't too bad but i haven't been in there to have a look see.

Am checking out Bukit Utama this afternoon but that's out of your budget.

@myusername,
Bukit Utama is the condominium near KBU, opposite Centrepoint. I don't think it's the same as Pelangi Utama. Those condos are just known as Bukit Utama.

@stacko,
The facilities available differentiates what's a condo and an apartment. But ur basically right, something of higher value's a condo.

@areankim,
Haven't I oredi given u feedback on Kota Kemuning? Can't find it here, perhaps it was in another thread.
