cause i check mine starting up is just fine and dandy but haven't actually use it to navigate yet.

Mine starts fine but only during navigating it hangs occasionally when rotating screen (which is a huge problem now that the auto-rotate is so damn sensitive with the new firmware). When/if i turn off the auto-rotate then it's no problem.

Personally i dont find the new firmware more irritating than the previous one, i have always wanted the auto rotate to be more sensitive(i've been using Rotateme software all the while because i could increase the sensitivity) and now they did it. biggrin.gif
Secondly, i have been quite annoyed with the overexposed picture whenever there's flash at a very close range to a bright or even white surface. Try to take a macro pic of an A4 paper containing text and fire the flash off. You will see a patch of red mark in the middle of the image due to overexposure. Nokia solved this by improving it significantly. Maybe it does affect other images (as in underexposure) as a whole but i do not find it unacceptable, just manually increase the exposure yourself if you need it to be brighter .

Thirdly, i think the intermittent reboot is now solved. I can't seems to find a way to make my phone reboot again.

And lastly, i think the menu access speed has been improved quite a little. Entering application and tools folder take much lesser time now.

i think it's the red light near the xenon bulb that causing it. everytime u capture a pic or video, it's turned on. privacy purpose.

i thought N82 firmware is already stable. seem like nokia still have kinks to iron out laugh.gif

Better then my K800/K810 smile.gif

Even without red-eye reduction, photos taken by my N82 hardly produce red-eye effects, unlike my K800/K810 which will definitely give red-eye effect if I use flash.

Also... I'm considering getting 8GB memory also.. yum yum biggrin.gif

That red flash light is really annoying for close-up shooting...the light shall be set automatically go off for close-up shootings.

I think I just found a jewel drool.gif

How to hack your phone to install unsigned apps.

After this hack you'll be able to install unsigned applications without SymbianSigned

Anyone wants to try it ?

Is it the python hack? its been discussed at Symbianfreak. Too many steps and too many ways to screw up your unit sweat.gif . Still Kinda tempting tho.

alternatively you can head on here for another solution wink.gif

Talking bout barcodes, seems like Barcode Reader (that came with N82) also got an update.
Now there's a square to hightlight where it's trying to read, sorta like face detection... cool.
