QUOTE(pigcat @ Jan 4 2008, 12:20 AM) Oh yeah that's right there's a USB charger for Nokia phones! I remember I saw that when browsing Nokia phone's accessories. But scare the USB power not enough, cause SE phones always get different battery life if charge via USB, often shorter battery life e.g. adaptor charger = 2 days but USB charger = 1 day. Each USB port can supply 500mah max. those Nseries battery capacity normally twice that. so USB port cant properly charged it. that just my assumption.

QUOTE(sunauto @ Jan 8 2008, 11:30 AM) Is the N82 compatible with 4GB mircoSD card or the limit is up to 2GB only? What's the average file size for photos taken with the N82 at 5 megapixel resolution? Well, I'm beginning to fall in love with this phone than SE's W960i. It's a tough decision for me to make but this time, Nokia has done well with the N82 and the price is absolutely reasonable. 300kb to 2mb depend on scene. N82 can support microSDHC, theoritically limit is 16GB 8GB tested working though, moreover i'm using 4GB on N95-1

QUOTE(clsia1001 @ Feb 2 2008, 09:00 PM) Yupe, N95 classic is really slow compare to N82 and N95 8GB...make smarter choice.. QUOTE(moneysaya @ Feb 3 2008, 05:51 AM) N95 is already faster than N73. N82 must be very fast and no lag... right? dont get it wrong. N95-1 v20 is on par with N95-3 in term of speed. N82 is a bit wee faster, but not a lot (barely noticeable in most situation) This post has been edited by toughnut: Feb 3 2008, 07:56 AM

QUOTE(Pennywise @ Feb 15 2008, 01:33 AM) OK two big problems: 1. I am using GMXT with the 6 months ago map as provided in the guide. I realized that the map shows update slower than I drive and I wasnt even going fast, I was doing about 50 - 70kmh only. And if I took a different route than its shown on the GPS, it takes too long to even realized I took a different route and equally as long to re-calculate route. Do you face these problems with the 2.20 maps? Anyone would like to share their experience? 2. Playing with the camera-mode gave me another error message and told me to restart. After I restart, my relative set off fireworks tonight and I took the video of the 148 shots of fireworks. Just when it's about to finish, it showed another error and the video was not recorded successfully. 1. no problem with refresh rate on my n95 with GMXT v4.10.60 (map v1.5 till v2.2). for the wrong route, it normal for it to take some time to realized wrong route. there's some logic behind this. for recalculation, it depend on complexity and route database (just my guess ). on my phone, normally recalculation take 3-8sec, 5sec average. 2. u meant u take the video and nothin recorded, only error message? that's bad. only encounter that on my old 6600. how long is the recording? ur memory card speed?

QUOTE(xeNOS @ Apr 3 2008, 08:09 AM) ok... so does the phone shows any lagging? hw abt when surfing the web ? any memory leak problems ?thx ! lagging or not depend on amount of software, background apps and sms u got in phone. surfing web not a problem on both phone. N82 has high RAM amount while N95 has memory management. memory leak? it depend on apps. bad coding sure lead to memory leaks

QUOTE(gzero @ Apr 15 2008, 07:41 AM) Personally i dont find the new firmware more irritating than the previous one, i have always wanted the auto rotate to be more sensitive(i've been using Rotateme software all the while because i could increase the sensitivity) and now they did it. Secondly, i have been quite annoyed with the overexposed picture whenever there's flash at a very close range to a bright or even white surface. Try to take a macro pic of an A4 paper containing text and fire the flash off. You will see a patch of red mark in the middle of the image due to overexposure. Nokia solved this by improving it significantly. Maybe it does affect other images (as in underexposure) as a whole but i do not find it unacceptable, just manually increase the exposure yourself if you need it to be brighter . Thirdly, i think the intermittent reboot is now solved. I can't seems to find a way to make my phone reboot again. And lastly, i think the menu access speed has been improved quite a little. Entering application and tools folder take much lesser time now. i think it's the red light near the xenon bulb that causing it. everytime u capture a pic or video, it's turned on. privacy purpose. i thought N82 firmware is already stable. seem like nokia still have kinks to iron out

QUOTE(Fearless @ Apr 16 2008, 07:09 AM) I took a video for a presentation lasting for 30 minutes. I found the "option" menu when you scroll to view big size video file (>500 MB) does not work, it always jump back to "Gallery" in the main menu instead of open up a menu.
The power cord connection to the right body side is suck, you cannot hold the set comfortablely when you are charging the battery.
The hand set cannot stand on its side and bottom faces is another minus.
It's possible to read Chinese characters under the English interface? 1. kinda impossible since N82 have huge amount of RAM. try open via third party apps on phone. coreplayer maybe? i normally open 700mb+ files on N95 and that's with half amount of N82 ram 2. u can read and write in chinese provided ur firmware is APAC version

QUOTE(cucubud @ Apr 24 2008, 08:57 AM) Thank you Wuahaha. I will go and buy this adapter. This is so convenient. beware that the connector might not be able to charge the battery fully, even worst might not even charge the battery. USB port only supply 500mah while the nokia charger is rated 850mah or higher. this USB charger is intended for older nokia model but do try and post the result here
