Have any1 tried switching on N82 without any sim card? to play games or take pictures only
How long will the battery last ?

i got 1 problem v my n82.. dunno if is it normal for n82 or only mine got problem..
whn i max the music player.. the speaker sound like wan to pecah.. em.. the music i played was i dont love u by chemical romance..

really worry.. haih.. jz bought it yesterday.. i scare got problem.. haha..

try to update once again..

now i dont even dare to update my firmware...

oh no....WTF.....i oso wait until neck elongateeeeeeeeeeee........
wanna to give up this phone get the K850i but n82 is the best right??

if buy AP, can get the black n82 that available in singapore market??

tried to update again,now the wifi is back but still cant view firmware.

Great to hear it. Some tips:
1) In my area, my h/p always switch between 3G (UMTS) and GSM. Hence, depending on what I'm doing, I will not use dual-mode.

Menu -> Tools -> Settings -> Phone -> Network -> Network Mode

2) Using GSM mode will lengthen the battery life, as it won't allow the phone to search for 3G network all the time.

3) With N82, you can switch between UMTS and GSM instantly, without the need to reboot the phone.

dun so hamsap la.. they purposely put the sound and led light there so there are no more spy shots kuat iman sikit

Criminal can still find way to bypass this kind of restriction. Samsung phone sets are choice for hamsap kaki.

Added on April 14, 2008, 12:24 amI cannot change product code with Nemesis, some bugs when running in my PC. Nemesis cannot detect my phone.

i failed to buy 8gb sdhc micro card from sandisk booth from pc fair today. I felt furious! argh! wasted an opportunity to have 8gb on my n82

i failed too..apparently, 8gb is getting out of stock...when i asked for 8gb in the pc fair,the promoters were stunned by my question...hahaa..n they told me that no handphone can support 8 gb card wo and they told me to get 4gb instead..those pricks,they can tell u all sort of lies in order to get business..haih...i guess,i ll hv to wait for another few more weeks to visit lowyat to get 8gb card lo...but any way,guys i have an interesting story to share...i managed to submit the form to get Ngage Creatures of the Deep promotion using n81 imei code...my activation code will be send within 2 weeks...hahaha...i cant wait to try that game out...now waiting for my activation code

Ya some of those people really outdate and thought we are crazy trying to find 8gb microsd...
I went to lowyat 2 weeks ago, when i ask around for 8gb microsd, some of them jaw dropped and say now latest is 4gb only, or don't have 8gb anywhere... and say some lies... then i went to some booth and they say they have it and after searching a while they say sold off... when i nearly gave up I went upstairs to the 4th floor selling pc stuff and found one booth selling lots of memory cards... i ask the guy standing in front whether got 8gb microsd, he say TAK ADA, then i ask THE GIRL STANDING BESIDE HIM and she say ADA, and she instantly took the 8gb microsd BEHIND THE GUY.. wth is wrong with the guy wei he don't even know the stuff he's selling.. i was totally insulted

btw at the end i finally got my 8gb microsd thanks to the girl, who is quite pretty

i went to fourth floor also,but sold out...which shop u went n saw 8gb?how much u bought it?haih..they outdate also nvm la,and yet they wanna insult u by telling that no phone can support 8gb...i malas wanna show them my n82 only,which can support up to 32gb sdhc..hahaha..katak di bawah tempurung..i guess,next time when i go lowyat to buy 8gb card,i ll start asking from girl promoters..ask from guy promoters only get insults in return..haih...

weird...i restarted my n82,and now again the wifi scan is gone

i suggest u re update your firmware again ler...did u try to use nemesis to change your product code before u update your firmware?if u did,i suggest u better change back to your original product code n then only u update again...your original product code is at the back of your phone...try check it up...but,try at your own risk ah..if this method still cant help,i suggest u go to nokia service centre...

I had that problem too. Luckily, after hours of googling, i found someone in symbianfreak's forum who have the same issue.

Seems like a problem with the cable drivers after updating to the latest NSU.
So, the solution is to uninstall latest NSU (though i myself uninstalled everything), and install the old version that came with the CD.
Run Nemesis. Should be able to detect your phone now.

It's tedious to change back your code though... lol.

how much you bought ur 8gb sdhc? and at which shop?

Why not ? Sold out ? Out of stock ? I managed to buy on Fri @PC Fair @RM169. Only SanDisk booth (Level 4 KLCC) put the pricing out on display for 8GB micro-SDHC.

Apparently, The Nokia Guide Blog says 16GB micro-SD is coming out in Jul '08. THere is even a 16GB link (which doesn't work) and a picture (which looks like edited).

If you want to change the product code simply run the nss back and change the product code. Always save the old code for future reference.

good for u though, i went to pc fair on sunday around 7pm. haiz. out of stock.

16gb???!! i think it way too 'spacious' for N82, unless u wanted to include whole world GPS map. haha!

I used europe 2 code and reinstalled firmware, seems silent mode does not work for my set.

Not sure how you set the silent mode.

It was too risky to re-install firmware because my PC can hang up at anytime.
