Some may be interested - I topped up BigPay at 12:30 am on 17th July and the transaction date shows 17th July (not 16th July) so confirm local gateway. This may be useful for those chasing limited/FCFS.

Hey guys, sorry I was away for a few days smile.gif We're going to release a Fair Usage Policy soon, so it'll all be cleared up. When it comes to FX and rates when withdrawing money from the ATM and all that, there's a blog post + infrographic going out either today or tomorrow that explains in details all the currency exchange mechanisms.

i called ocbc. their cash rebate is not paid to you all in one month. it's divided by 2 (current month and another one is on next month). ocbc cs also told me that bigpay is not considered as online transaction. hence only 0.1%. this is because i checked my statement, there is no 1% rebate. only 0.1%  doh.gif
*
yes. cash rebate for online transaction is given in 2 batches,
- 0.1% will be given to your on your statement date. you will be able to see this in your statement
- 0.9% will be given to your 1 to 2 days after your statement date. you can see this under "unbilled transcation" or the next statement, but not current statement

so far based on my experience, it does give 1% for bigpay, provided you did not swipe too much (more than your credit limit).

if you swiped more than your credit limit, then the cashback will be processed manually and the management will not give 1% (reason: the transaction is not for personal usage)

i checked mine is none. no transaction on my unbilled transaction (already more than 2 days after my statement date). that is why i called in to OCBC to clarify cry.gif i only try it 1 time to check whether OCBC will give 1% or not.. total transaction in my card only 2 laugh.gif so in my case, definitely won't over my credit limit sweat.gif

weird.. hmm.gif i guess i will write in to ask OCBC to clarify on this.. or wait until next statement

Confirmed by BP already: RM20=1Big Point
You can check in the app as well, there is no statement about this RM2=1 inside

ohmy.gif wow that is long. anyway, thanks for your info. i will check it out then..

really dislike this 2 tiers cash rebate. so confusing and it's troublesome to calculate. probably they hope their user don't calculate and if they give less, nobody will notice laugh.gif

BigPayJonathan In view of the proposed RM 25 SST on credit card services, does the BigPay card fall under that scope?

Most likely won't be affected because it's only for credit or charge card (Amex)
This is a prepaid card
plus I think the purpose behind the tax is to stop people from getting too many CC and going into debt (but I doubt its effectiveness)

I believe the bank will waive for you like last time, just threat to cancel if you seldom use it and they will plead for you to continue holding it by waiving off by themselves. Anyway just wait for the subsequent year before asking for waiver if this is really implemented…

So what card you all will be keeping if really RM25 is imposed on credit and charge card? I will keep PBVS, PBQMC, MBFCBVS, SCCB, SCJOP and HLB Fortune. Still waiting for Ambank True Visa as well~ And keeping Affinbank WMC and Citibank PMVS as well if they can waive as I only use for PP and PPL.

The credit card issuers will give a credit of RM25 instead. They don't have rights to waive the government tax.
BP doesn't give overdraft, so it shouldn't be a taxable service.
