Would like to know that if for example I withdraw cash in an ATM in US, would there be any currency conversion fee or cross border fee incurred? If I'm not mistaken, normal ATM card charges those fees for ATM cash withdrawal overseas right? Correct me if I'm wrong, will be staying overseas for a few months hence carrying cash for the whole period of time is not a good idea, would like to save every pennies if possible.

waived.
refer to official fees and charges inside the app for more info.

But we won't leave the credit in BP for too long, not more than 1 month!

the true gem behind i think probably is the "unclaimed money"
i believe no everyone will "zerolise" the account before u leave BP one day
like TouchNgo card or other bank acc.

it's really depends on merchant payment gateway, don't think this is related to BigPay card. Most of merchants in Malaysia (if they using malaysia based payment gateway) are still required 3d secure code verification.
*
Same while overseas. Using Bigpay, some merchant requires you to enter PIN. Some requires you to sign on the paper slip. all sorts.

I noticed using ATM overseas withdrawal, the currency conversion rate would still be just under 2% higher than xe.com rates.

If your ATM charges you withdrawal fee, then the cost went up further.

So if your ATM does charge you withdrawal fee, you will be better off using Bigpay to withdraw money overseas via ATM.

I know there is almost no exchange rate mark up. But isn't there a RM 10 withdrawal fees?

The withdrawal limit is 10K (I think). Withdraw larger sum will more than make up for the RM 10 withdrawal fees.

Really, you like leaving significant amounts behind in cash when it's possible to withdraw?

Money laundering isn't the only problem, there's also the problem of arbitrage for which BigPay could get sanctioned by Bank Negara. They should quickly release their guidelines so we can follow.

No need think so much la, by the time you get the so call too frequent , you already kena ban. Those gain will remain small and not be taxable or notice.

Max each month you can churn 270k, and say you get 1 percent cash back card OCBC. Youu think you can get 1 percent out of that 270k?
Once you hit your cc credit limit then your cash back detail will go to management level and will not auto approve .
The 0.9% will gone because they will classific it as business usage. That's why I said the gain is small. P/s I have no idea on HL 1 percent card tho.

Other cash back card has capped so it's not possible for your to withdraw frequently.

My case, the BT is the so called large volume because I take out money from CC and use it invest on other stuff. There's goes 40k.
20k just maximize other ccccc ( multiple card ) cash back

Yeap smile.gif

Anyway, just sharing my frensssss experience.
When you hit certain withdrawal limit, BigPay will call and ask for the reason why you withdraw so much, yada yada.

Ultimately, regardless what you told them(test the apps la, utilize credit card cash back la, need money from credit la, this la that la) or what they told you, what they really looking after, is your credit card statement (cc used to reload bigpay) and bank account statement (account used to deposit cash withdrawed from Bigpay) to examine the cash flow.

Most of my fren choose to surrender the info, and they got unblock.
Some choose to pattern, continue to block.
