i think his boss use the qualification status to deny his salary increment.
actually qualification is not so important, its up to boss/hr to give any salary.
qualification is a tool for judgement. but since his already 7 yrs experience in this field, i think he should get better pay. at least 2k plus.

yah, agreed. bt 1800 is way too low..! consider have 24 hrs standby..somemore..my fren with nearly 4 years total exp in IT already earn 10k a month before deduct PCB...with experience the most valuable asset...

I think maybe they treat you like a fresh grad?

If you think you are underpaid then you are. There's no telling underpaid or not, some fresh grads get below 2k

I am not a lawyer. However, I did know a few persons who are fresh-grad law student.

The pay really depends where you are.

In KL, my friends told me is around RM1500 - RM2000 starting pay.

In Johor, its about RM1000 - RM1500.

In penang, Its about RM1300 - RM1800.

Thats all I know.

Hugely depending on what fields of law. Those into commercial related like finance & taxation able to secure better remuneration package. Got a friend (fresh) works in Wong & Partners. Starting salary already 3K+. Of course, we are talking about Wong & Partners here.
