I am facing a dilemma now and just wanna get your opinions.

I am a Mechanical Engineering student and I got no experience and I recently got a internship offer from a company.

however, the salary is only RM300 and the company is situated in Penang. I will have finished 2 years of degree by the time I start working.

Should I go for it?

Its a bit low but if the exposure is good why not. I think for you the period of internship is short so its not much an issue. Some companies don't even pay for internship student. The highest I'd heard was 1.5k last time in hsbc.

after 1++year-2years find another job. u can get 1.8-2k basic easily not include allowance
get the experience first... i don think u're underpaid if u don't hv any experience previously and that's your 1st job.

Through the interview, the lady said fresh grads in HK ask for HKD35k a month, that's why they prefer Malaysians. Will be offered HKD30k if they pick me...hmmm...just have to wait and see. Living costs there is roughly 3 times Kuala Lumpur's.
*
hongkong has the highest 'salary rate' in asia next is thailand, singapore then malaysia

30k hkd is a good deal for freshies, but keep in mind that cost of living is about 20% more expensive than singapore... anyway i don't think you'll get that salary in singapore let alone malaysia.

comment on this? what hurts is i got my asking salary..... and my collegues (same qualification) got higher salary cause they ask for more suring interviews T_T, anyway i can get an increment after i'm confirmed? the arguement "they are the same lvl but they got more" seems kinda hollow and childish. If i know early should ask for 3k >.<
