QUOTE(HybridMaestro @ Oct 14 2010, 12:58 PM) @optyx_spider Thanks for the advice. I've been thinking for quite some time. Thus I've decided to stay and see through all this. I'm going to be here possibly until March. Hopefully i get to join the team after that. (finger crossed) BTW, I would like to know does staying in the supporting role earns more or the implementation earns more? I've known people who work in consulting firms for sometime and get head hunted to work for some MNC for easily 5 figures a month. But work in those MNC are usually supporting roles rite? People are saying that functional earns more..how much more I'm not sure but I think SAP basis is quite handsomely paid as well. So if functional earns more, they must be super rich. To get 5 figures in MNC it is quite easy (esp if you have 4-5 years exp)..hahahaha...but it all depends on your skills and technical knowledge.. It depends on which industry the MNC is involved in. If the MNC is Shell(not IT based), you should expect supporting roles. If IBM or Atos Origin (IT/SAP outsourcing comp), you might get to do projects/consulting as well...= anyone care to comment on this. QUOTE(badzeugene @ Oct 14 2010, 09:38 PM) how if compare SAP Basis pay with ABAP pay? which one higher? all i know is one guy from my dept used to be an abaper, was paid 800/day when he was doing consulting. But that guy is damn good so maybe he deserves the pay ( or maybe he lied to me) ..the rest, I have no idea.

@ badzeugene
Are you in uni? Hmm...how do you get certs while you are still in your uni years? They gave courses?
If you want to enter this industry and do SAP, it is essential to know ABAP.
Not necessarily Axon...try these companies listed in the first page. Axon prefers experienced applicants (as claimed in their website)

Hey guys, appreciate any answers to my questions here:
I got an offer from an SAP company. Will undergo a 1 month SAP training for certification and if i am succesfull will be working as SAP Junior Consultant.
I have 3 years experiences in Retail Industry but i have Diploma in Science Computer. All of the programming works, i don't really remember it now. Will they train me the programming again in the training or do they expect me to answer some test before the training?
Thank you.

You dont need to do programming ..unless u are a ABAP..thats a different case. If your company is sending u for a MDEC course, you will need to answer some test.

Meaning you have to work with a company that is using abap first. later apply for abap position

Guys which one has higher chances.
1. Degree holders and no working experience and no SAP cert.
OR
2. Degree holders with no working experience and SAP cert holder.
OR
3. Diploma holder with 3+ years working experience + Some experience in using SAP (in retail industry - at least i'm familiar with the interface) + SAP cert holder.
Im the 3rd one and about to get cert for SAP B.I and a bit worried because in Jobstreet all of the SAP related job requires candidates to have at least a degree.

QUOTE(Currylaksa @ Oct 17 2010, 09:47 PM) People have been telling me that SAP HCM market is dying, is that true? Up's and Down. At the moment, SAP HCM resource market controlled by NGA. So for freelance SAP HCM consultant, u tend to get squeeze out of job due to NGA control. There are requirements for SAP HCM consultants for support roles than implementation or roll out. Try Q-Cell (Cyberjaya), they looking for SAP HCM Consultant for their internal SAP team.
