QUOTE(yswon12 @ Dec 4 2009, 11:42 PM) Ya. Just wondering is it important to get certified. I already got a job in a consulting company doing SAP, the functional side. Will getting certified be redundant? What are the advantages of getting certified. how do you get into the functional role doing SAP?

QUOTE(W.A.SP @ Dec 9 2009, 10:35 AM) Currently working as Oracle functional consultant with 1 year experience and 4 year as end user for Oracle HR..considering SAP at the moment..will it be a good idea to jump.. from the others feedback a few pages back, seems like u might have to start from ground zero again, aka like a freshie. would you want to do that?

QUOTE(W.A.SP @ Dec 9 2009, 04:09 PM) Well i don't mind if i have to..correct me if i'm wrong...from my understanding if you have experience using or implementing any erp application, the basic feature will be there only the usability will be slightly different for each application. Just need to get use to it.For the implementation like Oracle you have to prepare business process requirement documents like BR30, BP80..and i guess maybe SAP too has the same process or their own version of documents that need to be prepare. What i have right now is my experience in Oracle and if i can just use the experience that i have in SAP it will be great. am in the same situation as you now, wanting to be in SAP line...but involved with other ERP package now. it's either starting from ground zero again or stick with current situation. PS: i think oracle erp is still not too bad....still got some companies using oracle erp

i have some years of non sap functional knowledge. If I take SD module training by myself, will it increase my chance of getting a job in sap field? Or is it just a waste of time?
