do you guys think that if the lan cable connecting from the modem to router (both from unifi) effect the overall speed for 500mbps?

still using the old blue color cat5,
should i change to cat6 ? (Then will get better speed to my desktop when router lan 2 connect to my desktop)
*
Cat 5 is 100Mbps, car 5e can go 1-5 Gbps easily (not more than 100m?) even though rated for 1Gbps.

ok now I finally understand why I don't have the subscription despite login with my mobile number... (it's asking me to subscribe)

I checked my email again and there's indeed a Disney+ confirmation email from Unifi, but the mobile number for some reason is my old number which I haven't used for years  doh.gif even weirder is the correct number is there in my Unifi profile
*
I updated my contact number to a new number few weeks before requesting to terminate. Guess what? They called the old number to confirm termination and counter offer with SWU. Thereafter, they used my old number to register for the new SWU account. Never once did they call the new number, and the unifi webpage and unifi universe also currently showing my old number. Luckily I still have my old number.

Their way of doing things is very weird. Like no proper procedures.

Me the last time was last month, no internet connection, then the culprit was unifi box at telephone pole infront of my house, reported to unifi, the next day they come and fixed 🐝

As long as the issue was rectified, I have no issue with the provider. The only problem is Public IP for low tier package. Unlike Maxis offering RM10/month for public IP for all speed package, if unifi charges the same, I dont mind paying for it.

Geniuses at work.... imagine if they call the old number and someone else refuse to pick up or declined the call. Who knows they really proceed to terminate?

Could you elaborate more on public IP for low tier package ?
I thought if its 500mbps and above, and can get public IP istead of Private IP ?

An update and end to my Disney+ issue.... was planning to call CS today to update my number (the chat bot is useless), somehow I went to the app and check again, Disney+ suddenly appeared under my streaming apps, and I can update the number there directly without going through support

Anyone who maintained with Unifi after initiating cancellation was promised with free Disney+? Was it Disney+ Premium or Basic?

I was offered RM90 for 500Mbps with 12 months Disney+, forgot to ask whether it’s Premium or not.

Contemplating between Unifi and TIME now. TIME’s offer is RM50 rebate for 10 months for their 600Mbps package hence it would be RM139-50 = RM89 for 10 months.

Anyone got suggestions?

Basic. In long term, UniFi is still a saving, RM 2160 vs RM 2836 and I doubt you gonna notice a significant difference for that 100Mbps speed difference.

Unifi's 500mbps for rm90 is maintained even after your new contract expires. Long term wise it's the more cost effective option, unless you really have a bad service experience or history with Unifi and is desperate to switch out

Disney+ included is basic only

Time 600mbps has higher upload speed, 600mbps dl/500mbps ul. Unifi 500mbps is 500/100.
Your call.

Same, suddenly show up out of nowhere. They probably knew they F-ed up somehow and fixed it for multiple users.

TM offer is the skyworth combo good ?
Or fiber home better ?

I read that this skyworth 2 in 1 is not good, and it's laggy and may not up to 500mbps.

My old setup was ZTE + dlink wifi 5

Technically, to get public IP, you need to sub min 500Mbps package (which is uncertain now since more users hop into the package due to promotion - might afraid it will receive the same treatment as 300Mbps users). If your speed below than 500Mbps, you will be assigned with Private IP. Unlike Unifi, Maxis offers RM10/month for public IP regardless if you are a 100Mbps user. If you ask me, If I don't need high tier package, and opt for 100Mbps package, I still can opt to pay RM10/month for public IP. Means there is freedom, but with charge which I don't mind paying. Second, TM is now fully providing ONRs, unlike Maxis or Celcomdigi (they are riding on unifi infra anyway), I still prefer the freedom of using my own devices without compromising the safety or security of my connected device. I am going to register for maxis thou I still have 2 months of contract with unifi.

Allo is charging one time fee, if not my mistaken for Public IP.
