I just updated my router firmware and I found that my Unifi 500/100 package upload speed was increased from 100 mbps to 370 mbps
Is there such thing as a free lunch?

hmm, do you guys encounter that after you request service termination.
Instead of getting call to ask reason, but receive another call that asked about the report last time where the speed is slow, and mentioned if need technician to come etc? I thought should have receive a call for counter offer for termination request? |

My contract has ended and I request for termination, 1 week later, sales person call me and offer SWU5.0 of 500mbps/RM90 but I opted for 500mbps/RM159 but speed will be 1gbps for 2 year and 6 month free bill. But today I got email from TM stated that my package has changed to 500mbps/RM90 instead of 1gbps/RM159. My account number has also change with the new one started with number 7
I call TM and they lodged the report but the funny thing is, that CS mentioned that the package is correct but the one creating the order "lupa" to give free upgrade to 1gbps but the RM90 price is correct. sohai la for SWU5.0 1gbps package is RM159 and I penat explain to him but he still insist that the order is correct but they lupa give 1gbps upgrade. Anyone has faced the same issue as me? and manage to ask TM to changes the package correctly to SWU5.0 500mbps with 1gbps speed for 2 years? |

Your argument with them made their mind complicated. If you just proceed, they click click and it's done. |

Many who did were asked to subscribe to Unifi Mobile, and I’d rather avoid the hassle of having to cancel that later. So I chose to wait for the termination confirmation call instead (request termination via app). Did you request a callback through the chat? When you change the package, do you also need to subscribe the postpaid for 3 month? |

I don’t get it why TM had to create a whole new account just to switch to the SWU 5.0 package — such a hassle to log in to the new unifi universe app. Now I have to check two different apps just to view my two accounts, lol.Nope, TM just opened a report and told me to wait up to 7 days. Honestly, I’m thinking of reporting this to MCMC because TM has a reputation for not honoring their offers and coming up with ridiculous excuses later on. |

Most likely someone made a mistake and change yours to RM90 500Mbps plan. For my usage, 500Mbps is enough. I just wanted to try gigabit internet and if I ever get to experience 12 hours restoration promise (touch wood, no breakdown pls) . Since TM is offering a 6 month bill waiver, it basically works out to the same as what I was paying before (RM119 for 500Mbps). Recently, the number of devices in my household has increased, so I feel that 500Mbps might not be sufficient anymore. |

I'm on 2gig with rm189. Everything is just a mouse click away. If he said they just forget to upgrade the speed, just say go ahead and upgrade it as you are promised. There's no fixed price in TM. In fact there's no standard pricing at all. Everything is arbitrary in TM marketing. I thought people in this forum should know better. jayko liked this post

Yes, there are people who manage to get a cheaper price for what they got, but not everyone is that lucky. TM can easily dispute it later on, and "IF" you’re lucky, sure you might get it. But for most of us, we’re not that fortunate. |

Why so pessimistic? If they cannot give you, rm159 is still the price you are willing to pay. You lose nothing by going with the flow.Yes, there are people who manage to get a cheaper price for what they got, but not everyone is that lucky. For TM, higher price is counted as upgrade. You can always go and ask for rm159 again. In life, you need to try many times to become T1. Rezeki jangan ditolak if it knocks. Failure in the past don't dictate your future. |

We might have someone who pays RM300 for 100Mb plan if they never review and change the plan. I don't think TM auto lower your plan price, maybe speed bump.
Any business will welcome anyone that want to pay more for the service. |
