QUOTE(tng55 @ Nov 1 2025, 10:52 AM) UNIFI FTTR Launch here like https://unifi.com.my/broadband/fttr Really weird 2Gbps subscriber still need to eat Skyworth.come back BTU BRAND Huawei OptiXstar but still combo i hope if infra they are huawei not all area depend because NOKIA and fiberhome etc i think possible Huawei OptiXstar set bridge mode to use own router i hope speed can stable not like dlink and skyworth about sometime speed drop hmmm I'm not even sure how TM marketing come out with this shit. In a way 1Gbps user get a "downgrade" because they are no longer getting WiFi 7. But at the same time that Skyworth WiFi 7 is just glorified WiFi 6. With a single node FTTR, I can buy a BiDi SFP+ module and run 10Gbps. After install, just unplug everything and use your own gear, hello 10Gbps. |

So i am forced to re-allocate some of them in the 5G router. |

I'm not sure but in your current setup, they should work as well. i mean, right now i am on UniFI 800Mbps + ASUS AX82U on 20 devices & GTeniq IQ2X55 Umobile 5G router on 10 devices. previously without the Gteniq 5G router, sometimes my CCTVs will not work. This might help if your CCTV are at far end of your house, which is almost always the case. You need to experiment and see. I suspect you are hitting the hidden node problem: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hidden_node_problem |

In enterprise/corporate network, we usually put CCTV in their own VLAN so it doesn't cause a broadcast storm to other devices Lower end or basic routers lack storm control / QoS algorithm which causes congestion when you have a ton of IoT devices in the network PRSXFENG liked this post

In enterprise/corporate network, we usually put CCTV in their own VLAN so it doesn't cause a broadcast storm to other devices Lower end or basic routers lack storm control / QoS algorithm which causes congestion when you have a ton of IoT devices in the network for now, i am going to downgrade to XOX B33 package on the 5G router (umobile 5G home currently is RM68). or maybe cheaper like Hotlink prepaid RM25. |

Just got back from long overseas trip last tuesday, since then been experience wacky Unifi connections?!
Some times no connections at all, other times, it only connects to 1-10Mbps! How about others? This post has been edited by Maknusia: Nov 2 2025, 08:43 PM |
