Really weird 2Gbps subscriber still need to eat Skyworth.
I'm not even sure how TM marketing come out with this shit.

In a way 1Gbps user get a "downgrade" because they are no longer getting WiFi 7.
But at the same time that Skyworth WiFi 7 is just glorified WiFi 6.

With a single node FTTR, I can buy a BiDi SFP+ module and run 10Gbps.
After install, just unplug everything and use your own gear, hello 10Gbps.

Pretty sure their commercial / enterprise level stuff is still amazing

But their consumer networking products are getting worst after the US sanction

does this new 1Gbps FTTR package can support up to ~40 devices at one time without any bottleneck on the devices, especially CCTVs, smart plugs & etc?

i mean, right now i am on UniFI 800Mbps + ASUS AX82U on 20 devices & GTeniq IQ2X55 Umobile 5G router on 10 devices.
previously without the Gteniq 5G router, sometimes my CCTVs will not work. So i am forced to re-allocate some of them in the 5G router.

I'm not sure but in your current setup, they should work as well.
Is all your CCTV on WiFi?
If yes, are they all on 5Ghz or 2.4Ghz?

Not sure if you can configure Long Guard Band and force RTS/CTS. This might help if your CCTV are at far end of your house, which is almost always the case.

You need to experiment and see. I suspect you are hitting the hidden node problem:

Problem with CCTV and IoT devices is they use multicast / broadcast instead of unicast which make your whole network extremely noisy

In enterprise/corporate network, we usually put CCTV in their own VLAN so it doesn't cause a broadcast storm to other devices

Lower end or basic routers lack storm control / QoS algorithm which causes congestion when you have a ton of IoT devices in the network

Their consumer networking products should have been their ultimate priority. Looks like TP Link going to face issue soon
