No such thing. You can get public IP with 500Mbps. Can always request if you need it.

he mentioned 500mbps high demand so will kena PRIVATE IP , but alot of us are switching to swu 5.0 500mbps from swu 3.0 500mbps. switching from 500 to 500 how to make high demand leh just price different only.

It’s ok, we can’t blame if some people can’t think logically. Most of the people on SWU 5.0 were already using 500Mbps anyway, only a small minority switched from other plans.

Is either ZTE or Fiberhome ONU any less desirable than the other, or pretty much same same?

Huawei ONU is not being offered anymore.

Now I'm confused. One person is saying 500mbps will soon be private IP, but another person claiming that is false.
Which person saying is true? Broadband contract is for 24 months, so if subscribed to the wrong package, will have to stuck with it for 2 years.

I contacted back Unifi technician, he said already wrote on the Combo Box manual (ONT, PPPoE, WiFi password), I reset Huawei HG8240H5 GPON > Manual set my PC with correct Gateway IP > login (user name & password on sticker) > key-in the ONT Authentication > Save Exit. Done ... can online now

21 Aug - Requested termination via portal
8 Sept - Received "best offer special JUST FOR YOU" sms
9 Sept - Got a call from TM and accepted the "offer"
10 Sept - Account updated (500mbps SWU 5.0 RM 90 with Disney+ Basic for 1 yr)

Why must you believe him? He is just saying out from his mind, not like he is working for TM.
Up to you anyway, nobody can predict future. For now, it is what it is. Nothing to be confused about.

The contract is: cannot downgrade, but anytime can upgrade or buy add-ons.

If you need to upgrade to higher bandwidth, you can always upgrade, even today you got 500mbps 24 months contract, tomorrow you tell TM you want to upgrade to 1gbps, they are happy to upgrade for you without any penalty.

So, no need to think this think that. When it really happens in the future, and you really need the public IP, go ahead and pay more to upgrade to the higher bandwidth package loh. Maybe by that time got free upgrade for existing 500mbps to 1gbps leh? Historically free upgrade happened a few times already.

I think tm should just charge extra for whoever that wants a public ip. Some people might only need 100mbps.

Contract ends this month, termination request was made last month.
