I got mine in exactly 14 days. From sending the application by email and receiving it by courier to my house.

I choose to ignore the return slip as this wasted my time and money... I used it straight away in Jusco and no problem...

Until recently, i have issue to use my Amex CC in Jusco Queensbay PG where the transaction can't go thru.

my amex just got approved & i have existing visa & mastercard from maybank & the credit limit is the same for all 3 cards, but not sure whether they share same credit limit or not. i know maybank visa & mastercard both share the same limit.

few forumer over here has successfully waived their AF too.. The CS say that my waiver granted because of the usage on the card. I think i'll keep the card for time being and anyone knew the prestige plat card will be re issued since the expiry is only one year. Anyone receive the renewal card?

Their are a few members also facing the problem while using amex cc in queensbay jusco, look like their terminal have problem while read the amex cc.
By the way, you use your amex cc at which Jusco without any problem?

2 days ago ordered Pizzahut delivery and was surprised to note that they accept AMEX at my home

Last week got a call from AMEX/MBB sales offering me Plat Charged Card, well me not interested and kept mentioning I not paying the annual fees since I won't be utilizing the benefits that comes with the card; the agent gave up on me and instead asked me to get the Plat CC then I started saying what is the point of getting the Plat when my AMEX Gold CC get 5X rewards for Petrol and Groceries. The thing is I have too many cards already and half of my CC are in the drawer. No point getting the AMEX plat as seldom shop at the 10X rewards outlets.

But I want to clarify something with you guys, especially Dozz and tinkerbell, the agent said that each card i.e. Plat Charged, Plat CC, Gold CC, Gold Charged are entitled separetely for the logines watch. Wonder if that is true.

I also never return any slip for any cards except if I collect it myself at the bank where the bank officer will ask me to acknowledge receipt. I seldom have problems using my AMEX. Anyway AMEX Gold CC call to CS is TOL Free.

If not for the reward points, i would have canceled it already because there are so many merchants not accepting it. We will wait and see.

I personally have used my AMEX at Jaya Jusco Mid-Valley, Jaya Jusco Sunway Pyramid and Jaya Jusco IOI Mall.

Are you sure? The T&Cs state that 1 person is entitled to 1 watch only.

Aiyoh, I not sure lah and I doubt the agent, that is why I stated need clarification, and maybe Dozz and tinkerbell can clarify especially Dozz who has 3 to 4 AMEX cards.

It seems that I haven't got the 5X points credited into my amex charge card....


Anyone has obtained it?

I received my 1st Amex Platinum CC last month. My new Amex Plat CC will expire on 2012. The expiry month follows the same month on my MBB Visa Petronas Platinum. Even my Amex Gold CC I received this year, expires on 2017 with the month as same as my MBB CC. The good news is that Amex is willing to waive the RM800 AF on the Plat CC.

how come the expiry of the card will be 8 yrs? The longest supposed is 5 yrs iirc. Centurion, my first year amex AF cannot be waived, but i got an ipod and longines watch plus the 1 yr membership of prestige plat , which in my opinion has worth the 800 bucks, not to mention the points i've accumulate so far so good and the best part is 2nd yr AF is waived !

8 years? I am surprised too. My new Amex gold cc will expire in 2012.

When I made inquiries to Amex about AF waiver for Amex Plat cc a few months ago, I was informed that 1st year AF won't be automatically waived. However, Amex has recently changed its policy for its Plat cc and given auto waiver for 1st year AF. And now, AFs for subsequent years could also be waived subject to approval. It has to do so to maintain competence and increase its market share. Consumers stand to benefit most by the revolution.

I have called up the CS to check why Amex Gold Credit Card expires on 2017 and what happen if my card damaged during this period. The CS told me it was not a mistake and if the card damaged, I can get a replacement card for free. Unless it was stolen, I have to produce a police report to waive the RM50 replacement card fee. Currentlly I have an Amex Gold Charge Card which I have been a member since 1995. The "Member Since" embossed on my new Plat Credit and Gold Credit Card is 2009. I asked them is it possible to match these 2 new cards "Member Since" to follow my Amex Gold Charge Card since 1995. The CS told me it's possible. Yesterday, I received a courier from Amex with the 2 cards come with " Member Since 95" without any extra charges. I'm quite satisfied with their service since 1995. As you say, the best part is the 2nd year AF can be waived. I 'll consolidate all my spending on the Plat and Gold CC from now on to get better benefit on the points accumulations. Thanks.

If you apply Amex golc credit card, call maybank customer service to check the status.
