The last movie I watched was "Drag Me to Hell".

Quite a weird movie la, in my opinion. It was really scary (couldn't sleep for a lot of nights afterwards, imagining the floor opening up and dragging me down to hell) but it was also very intentionally funny. Heh..

Which made it a great and fun movie to watch.

Sherlock Jr - My favorite Buster Keaton feature. Blows The General out of the water if you ask me.

Cassandra's Dream - Can't believe I took this long to watch this Woody Allen movie. It's a tad similar to the excellent Match Point but I think the ending saved it from being too similar. It's a very Woody Allen movie - the character development, the script, the haunting environment. Very good watch I must say. 4/5

The Big Lebowski - Always a treat. It's just uproariously entertaining and hilarious with awesome dialogue. And if doesn't really add up to a lot in the end, it's because it doesn't need to. And if you didnt like it...

Departures is terrific, and a great antidote to the summer blockbuster blahs.

Rewatch of Casino Royale.

now that the reboot hype is gone, I am utterly unimpressed.

Yesterday watched John Woo's The Killer. John Woo is really a master of action, his shoot-out is stylish and violent. Wish he makes action film again.

terminator salvation - 6/10
star trek - 8/10
angels and demons - 3/10
night at the museum 2 - 4/10
transformers 2: roll on the floor - 3/10

This summer sucks really badly.

Edit: mistyped - tf2 is 3/10 not 1/10. It may become 1/10 over time though.

True.... After so hu-haa seeing the humor part, everybody kind of trying to hold their tears.... But eventually we just cant hold on anymore and everyone was so kelam kabut looking for anything that can be use to wipe our tears.... So so so sad... and so so so so good the movie.. It's been sometimes that I walked out of the cinema satisfied... rclxms.gif

Eeeps! Been putting Departures on hold for some time now. Waiting for the right moment to watch! LOL. tongue.gif

Last movie watched was Sunshine Cleaning, which had Emily Blunt and Amy Adams and Alan Arkin in it. Very charming and funny and well-shot indie movie. (Well the funny part won't seem so funny after you watch the trailer). But the whole premise about the crime scene cleanup thing is kind of original. Hehe. icon_rolleyes.gif

Great review list

My sentiments exactly... Though have to admit, I have not watched Angels and Demons (was VERY disappointed by Da Vinci Code, shouldn't have read the book first, since I have read the book for Angels and Demons, thought I give it a miss) and Night at the Museum 2 (thought that the first one was mildly amusing only, will wait for DVD)

Cheers

Wow, can't wait to hear about your reaction after you have had watch The Seven Samurai!! smile.gif

Look for the Critieria edition on DVD if possible. Better pic and sound quality. The film naration is interesting as well.
