QUOTE(Mov_freak @ Jul 12 2009, 03:00 PM) Just watched Knowing on BD, AMAZING PQ and SQ! A movie about prophecy?! Hm..... Storyline as a unique ending. Not you run of the mill hollywood ending HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Curiously, another movie 2012 (about the end of the Mayan calender = end of the world) is around the corner!! Just watched it. Unique ending? How many time Hollywood disaster movie that come with spaceship? Already lose count. WHen they reached the place with black stone, I said to myself, "oh no, please don't bring spaceship again". Then spaceship really come and I facepalm Anyway, a lot of plot holes there.

Just watch Oldboy (korean movie). The twist is damn good. It might be very very confusing in between. But please continue watching until the end I need to watch 2 times to get everything.

QUOTE(Mov_freak @ Jul 13 2009, 11:58 AM) Hello! I can understand how my previous posting can be misread. I was purposely vague!! There are reason why I describe the ending as unique for a hollywood movie. Please refer to spoiler (eg if you are interested in watching the movie, nota good idea to read the spoiler. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « What I meant by unique is that the lead actor and actress all died! Actually most living beings on the planet earth dies. Something that hollywood movie usually avoid. I do see you point, having movies like Arrival, Contact, MIB, Independence Day, and the past and present The Day The Earth Stood Still have this undertone. But this movie took it to the next level. Also, this movie has a KICKING AQ!! ok, that is kinda unique lol. But a lot of thing inside this movie is done before by other movie. When I watch it, I feel like "been there, done that". Does not raise any emotion during certain catastrophe...

QUOTE(Mov_freak @ Jul 13 2009, 01:29 PM) Yes, and allow me to quote a phase that StupidityPolice likes to use. Those scenes you had described were predestrian (eg an accident by the road, and cars from the other side of the road stop to see but is emotionally detached) Yes, I believe if the director was better at thugging at the heartstrings of the view, it would have been more successful. Not sure if this is an appropriate question, but you are a Zelda fan? If yes, which is your favorite?? yeah, it did not once connect to me. No feeling at all. Does she said that about this movie? Or other movie? I'm not a fan of Zelda. I've not even played in any of the Zelda game.

QUOTE(Mov_freak @ Jul 13 2009, 02:47 PM) Er... not for this movie, but u did use it to describe Bryan Singer's work!! Added on July 13, 2009, 2:58 pmEr.... but your signature.... ___________________________________________ |▲ ▲ |||| | | | |||| ∇ |The question is, can you tri-force? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tri-Force?? Oh, its just stupid internet meme that /k/ created...haha QUOTE(QuickFire @ Jul 13 2009, 10:03 PM) Gattaca. Wow. Apart from a few moments when the plot gets a bit far-fetched, this was stunning. It isn't the kind of ambiguous sci-fi film which leaves questions unanswered and asks you to make up your own interpretations, but I dont think it is any lesser because of this. Amazing film and probably instantly one of my favourite films. Gattaca is good. I agree. But I watched it 10 years ago. Wow, you're slow..
