Predators (2010)

Nimród Antal, I've only watched his Vacancy (2007) (which was tense)

He directed Predators, with Robert Rodriguez Producing

Apparently, Robert Rodriguez was asked to write Predator 2, when Arnold was still interested in doing a Predator 2 (many, MANY years back). And they went Urban without Arnold... (*sigh*)

Robert Rodriguez supposedly put everything he can, including the kitchen sink in his draft of Predator 2, in the hope that Arnold would sign on, and he didn't.

I'm assuming that this is closer to Robert Rodriguez's vision for what the 2nd movie should have been instead of Predator 2

In a nutshell I really REALLY HATE Predator 2.

It came up in an inopportune time (during the 1st Iraq war) I was down and thought I would grab a movie to perk me up. The movie did everything EXCEPT perk me up!!

I don't think I have seen that movie for a second time!!

As for this movie... it should have been title Predator 2.

It is NOT as good as Predator, it"s 80% of Predator (to me anyway).

What makes Predator work was the characters were visceral and their bonds were palpable. You rooted for them.

Nimród Antal and Robert Rodriguez decided to going the other way with this new group and the result is... mixed.

Topher Grace... Really! Is 2010 the year of That 70's Show?? With Ashton Kutcher in Killers.

They (Nimród Antal and Robert Rodriguez) tried some stuff new, and again mixed results (more good then bad) and they have elaborated a little bit more about Predator's mythos.

I really don't want to go in too much and spoil things for people.

My advice is to go watch it.

+ Jason Patric and his sidekick - can see this mofo is having a great time reminded me of Chris Klein's performance in Street Fighter: Chun Li

- the gang...boring
- Chris Evans has nothing on Ryan Reynolds
- to those who say Glee's don't stop believin'....go fark yourselves. using the song is just tiresome, cringe inducing....its too soon la! Some memorable ones that I can think of Whitesnake - Here I Go Again (American Dad), The Cars - Drive (Transformers), You're the Voice (Hot Rod), the Nirvana song during the beginning of a shoot em up in Shoot Em Up.

Unfaithful 2002

this movie tortured my emotion. the sex scenes, ohh.. made me sick and anger..

recycled idea of course, perfectly happy marriage in surface, but the wife having an affair with younger man. i love the fate of that younger man at the end..

and overall its very good movie

lol what? Jason Patric was easily the worst thing in that movie, and Chris Evans the best.

Sunshine Cleaning. Funny and heartwarming, I think it's great.

Losers was just another unimaginative unoriginal brainless action movie. Rubbish.

The movies that I've rewatched lately - Following, Memento, Pi, Godfather trilogy, Field Of Dreams, North By Northwest, Machinist, Total Recall. All were exceptional.

predators

its been a long while since the predator got back jolly into the jungle, after cities, towns, strange structures and more. its nostalgic but sadly that was it about this movie, for the most part the movie followed predator to its core. basically they took the old one and remade it via adding a few extra touches and twists. nothing impressive but still better than the last offerings that involved predators

I finally watch this out of recommendation as I was looking for movies with intelligent story, or twist.. many says this movie is brilliantly written..

I'd say, yes its interesting, different than many other movie, but its nothing special.. its nowhere near 'brilliantly written'.. its over rated imho..

maybe I expect too much..

just watched The Prestige..

now, that's good story.. good twist too, if i may call it so..

only tinee tiny slack is the fictional machine..which i can forgive and the fact that i think Bale should lose/die in the end..he was the bad one to me..

TBH its quiet plain. but not until they explain everything at the end. nice touch in the end (though actually im not quiet remember exactly the storyline coz i watched it in a long time ago..)

overall, caught between good and decent. 7/10.

warming story about 2 siblings, one marine captain (Sam) and an old convict (Tommy). Tommy took responsibility to take care of Sam's family after Sam's helicopter crashed in Afghanistan.

rating 7/10.

Well, at least you are NOT caught between the Moon and New York City!!! (If you DON'T get it, nevermind, it is a very old joke)

Just watch Kick Ass. I like the story line as i love superhero kinda movie. I like this type of movie where it mention about other movies in the script because somehow it depicts that this movie is really happen or can happen. but the scenes involving the superhero girl clearly comical but i enjoyed it.

Yup..just watched it (Kick-Ass) yesterday..it RoCkS...image and HD sound system superb. Probably gonna watch it again later..

I caught The Sorcerer's apprentice a few days again... Nice stuff

The Ghost Writer
A film by controversial director Roman Polanski, some of the best movie I saw for this year.
The setting almost perfect, the atmosphere, the mode and cast also. 9/10

Kick Ass
I lol at "......find what happen of Lost...". Quite entertaining but a bit stall in the middle of the movie.
Like dejavu, some scene & soundtrack resemble Tarantino's Kill Bill. 8/10
