Batman: Under The Red Hood

Wow!

DC has Kahunas! BIG Brass ones!!

This is a VERY daring animation, for those in the know Joker Killed Robin 2

This happened in the beginning of the animation, and then the story evolved to a point the comic book didn't

If u like Batman, you'll LOVE this animation

Extremely recommended

The Expendables.

The movie is good, mostly because of the fan service. Nostalgia, cameos, 'all-star' etc..

watched Lebanon [2009], an Israeli anti war film.

unfortunately ive downloaded Spanish dubbed version with poor English translation (i believe). so, im losing a bit with the dialogues.

but still, i think its good anti war film. it focus on Lebanon War in 1982 from perspective of group of Israeli tank operator. well of course, the Israeli soldier not pictured as a bad guys here.. WTH.

(the facts is, they are invaded Lebanon to kill what so call terrorist)

i give rating 7/10.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Watched this on HD yesterday

Have to say my favorite harry Potter movie to date

Everything about this movie works (with the exception of pulling the World Quidditch Game at the beginning of the moive)

Otherwise, everything important in the book got adapted

It got transferred beautifully to HD as well (unlike the 1st HP movie)

Another burning question is HOW CAN MIKE NEWELL HAD MADE A DUD LIKE THE PRINCE OF PERSIA!!

RoboCop (1987)

Ah... Good OLD Paul Verhoeven.

Nothing say MOVIE VIOLENCE like Mr. Verhoeven

His first Hollywood movie, and definitely my favorite Paul Verhoeven movie.

Watched it on HD yesterday and have to say.... video transfer is bad... sad.gif

The interesting thing is some scene were excellent, and some is NOT. The frustrating thing is then is a same scene the quality of the film could swing from excellent to absolutely terrible!!! And they weren't EVEN the special effects scenes!!! (because special effect and the rest of the movie are shot separately and then the two films are then optically merge using special projectors and camera. This process can effect the quality of the final product)

This movie was made AFTER the original The Terminator.

It is suppose to be set in the near future, and a believable one at that

Full of cliches from the 80's which is wonderful

Good and bad isn't so clear cut (especial in the 2nd movie) which is wonderful

I miss Paul Verhoeven...

Step Up 3 (3D)

So, how does the 3rd installment stand up ??

If you like Hip Hop dancing Great

Story wise nothing spectacular

Dancing is great

Is it worth going to the 3D version??

Some scenes and end credit is great otherwise...

Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore

Appeal towards family and kids. It's a better version of the 2001 original with more gadgets, fast-paced and more appealing. Too bad the movie may not appeal to all since it took 9 years to release a sequel (much like Storm Riders, which was 10 years).

Some scenes are okay for 3D but if you like spies on household pets, this movie is best watch without the 3D.

The Count Of Monte Cristo [2002]

i love it when i watched for the 1st time in 2002. recently rewatched it again, not as good as 1st time, but im still enjoyed it..

its nice to watch this kind of movie when u terribly depress, give up of your life, and hoping a chance for revenge.. wonder what ull do, if u given a mountains of fortune. are u going for revenge? or enjoy the fortune in peaceful life?

but lately i watching a lot European Films. so its a bit awkward to watch supposedly French /Spanish character, talking in English..

nevertheless, its good.. 8/10.

Gosh, where did you find Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1919) and Nosferatu (1922)??

I've been looking for Nosferatu (1922) forever!!

Interesting note, they are NOT american, they were made in Germany.

Personally, I'm waiting for Metropolis (1927) to be release in BD in it's most entire form on the 16th Nov 2010.

Not sure if there are more then two of us in this forum who understands what we are talking about!! laugh.gif
