Just finished watching Red Cliff 1 and 2 (in one seating).

PQ and AQ (Dolby True HD 7.1 AND DTS Master Lossless 7.1) are good (HK Version). When you are taking about the lead actor, pores galore (Mr Tony Leung needs more R&R and a face spa treatment) tongue.gif. At least they are NOT caked in makeup!!

Point of interest, in the opening scene of Red Cliff 2, the soldiers at Cao Cao camp were opening the gate to the said camp, and what do you see at the bottom of the heavy wooden gate? Modern Car Roda to help with the opening of the gate! Only 1080 resolution can you see this! (If you blink your eyes during the scene, you would miss it!!) Wow, the Chinese were really ahead of their times!! tongue.gif

Drag me to hell...

I really dunno how it got high ratings for this Hollywood flick...

Soso story but not frightening at all...horror scenes are just to 'light'..

Not for true horror fans...maybe its for the family type of horror movie (like Twilight...which I enjoyed)

Drag me to hell was funny. I watched it in the cinema. Friend of mine sitting next to me, he got shocked when the title screen appeared lolol.
And and the part where the Lamia possessed that guy, and started dancing on the table. Hilarious! teehee.

Anyways, I just re-watched Road to Perdition.
Yeapp, old show from 2002. It was many years back, and I was kinda still young.
It is a fantastic show. Tom Hanks acted very well. Very different from the Tom Hanks you see in the DaVinci Code/Angels and Demons etc.
A very strict father can be seen in his role.

I didn't know Daniel Craig was acting. Woah woah, was surprised (few years back didn't know actors names)!!
He wasn't the masculine Daniel Craig of 007 back then. Cool antagonist he played though;
Favourite quote from the movie by said by him was "It's all so f****** hysterical."

Sad ending though, but the way the story is told, it's pretty awesome.

Yeah Road to Perdition is one hell of a movie. My favourite Mendes picture. Some fantastic acting in there.

Drag Me To Hell - Watched it with my little brother and sister. Apparently my 14-year-old brother can appreciate gross-out humour better than my friends. lol. The movie was better than when I last saw it, but I still have the same problems with it. Decent.

Oh yea I thought Christine was sympathetic. I dont understand how so many people can call her evil and cold hearted. It's exactly what anyone of us would do.

Maybe thats why getting very high ratings from RT and Imdb...its a family horror movie...

Yeah...some parts that were suppose to be dramatic just happen to be humors as well...haha...but for me the goat scene was just so lame...I would expect the goat to turn to a mutated devilish monster.
So was vomiting of the cat...at least they could have soaked the cat in blood or skinned it.

Ending was a little too fast.

It's goofy horror in the veins of Raimi and Peter Jackson's earlier works. It's never meant to be taken as serious horror. And it is funny, has quite a lo of funny bits actually. Unfortunately between said funny bits there are lots of unfunny, unscary, not very interesting bits. For example, the whole scene before the seance, where they explain the house has unknown forces.... gateway to hell.... bla bla bla. Bla bla bla...... Who gives a shit about details like that.

I recommend Evil Dead II. Now thats an awesome schlock-horror movie. It drips cheapness, and it works all the better because of it.

I think that's great too. The four films by him I've seen are all very good. But I think Road to Perdition is his best.

tf2 the shanghai scene: is it me or watching the scene on tv is a little less shitty?

tsunami: them koreans can do no wrong. and they can do funny. the teeth pulling, the my sassy girl, the luckiest ******* in the world part were hilarious. don't be put off by what others said that the tsunami is cheap looking. if you buy into the monster from the host, you can definitely buy into this.

year one: zzzzzz...go watch life of brian or history of the world part 1 again.
