Awesome show to be honest. I like how the story is told.
Could feel Daniel Craig's British accent at some points

QUOTE(Mov_freak @ Sep 3 2009, 04:28 PM) Old Boy Dayum. I just read full synopsis for this movie. Spoilt the story for myself lololOh boy. Oh My Goodness, what a movie! I'm not sure if I can put into word what I'd experience whilst I was watching the movie! Here is an attempt to do so, bewilderment, puzzlement, humor, shock, terror, NAUSEA!!!! I have to hand it to the Koreans for making the MOST SICK movie I have ever had the chance to experience!!!! Kudos to Min-sik Choi for his role as Dae-su Oh. His physical and mental changes in the movie is MOST palpable!!!! Will Smith is said play his role in the American version, I DON'T think he can pull it off. I DON'T think the American production is going to be BALLSY enough to STICK to the original material! My two sens worth! Sounds very epic-ly sadistic. QUOTE(QuickFire @ Sep 5 2009, 08:51 PM) A masterpiece. Okay. Noted. Ponyo Ponyo is also by Miyazaki, for those who didnt know, and I'm still head over heels over it. It's just too damn adorable and cute. The incredible scene where Ponyo runs on waves made from big blue fish makes me so damn happy inside. The drawing, with clear, hard lines and vivid pastel colours... it's just so easy to fall in love with it. I unreservedly recommend it to anyone who isnt put off by animation. I think one of the cinemas at where I am at is showing it |

I just watched the Brothers Grimm (2005 movie). Heh, I actually watched it before, but I couldn't really remember.
Half way watching, then I notice some stuff I've seen before. Gotta say, I love the show. Well, prolly because I'm a fan of fairytales. And how the Brothers Grimm (original authors) make the story a little sadistic. The movie had mixture of a few fairytales in them. Gingerbreadman, Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel. Little bit of Cinderella. Some Sleepy Beauty and of course Snow White. Not sure if I missed any. Well, the expected happily ever after was there. More because that's how the Brothers Grimm write their stuff. Always has a happily ever after in each story. But in the middle of the story, some scary stuff do happen. I couldn't recognise Heath Ledger in the movie though. Looked different. Prolly the glasses, short hair and the beard ![]() Matt Damon was cool too. Love Matt Damon pretty much |

Just watched Ponyo. The weirdness of creatures drawn were there, hahhah! Really weird fantasy, but a weird in a good sense. Entertaining seeing how stories like this are there.
The colours, drawing were of a different style. Everything looked so organic and pastel coloured like. Ponyo's ending was a little weird in a way, but it's a happily ever after I guess. Too bad there wasn't any more details and background history of the underwater world Though, I prefer Spirited Away for it is more mature. Personal preference here |

QUOTE(QuickFire @ Sep 18 2009, 01:16 PM) Antichrist What's it about besides art and torture porn? Jesus christ! This is one extreme movie, attempting to merge art and torture porn into one. I cant say I recommend it, and I cant really appreciate it (at least not fully), but if you want one f***ed up film, this might be worth your time. Just be warned, it is gruesome. |

QUOTE(QuickFire @ Sep 18 2009, 01:58 PM) It's about a couple who just lost their infant son. The mother is grief-stricken, blaming it all on herself, becoming depressed and even suicidal. The husband, who is a therapist, decides to take her to a cabin in the woods to begin the recuperation process. But once there they are met with stranger occurrences. After that things start to go real awry. In a very graphic way. Does it have to do with religion? Being it titled AntiChrist.Apart from the baby and a few seconds of faceless (literally) strangers, the features only the two main actors. There is exquisite photography work, and it has a lot of of subliminal psychological subtexts. The whole thing is very uncompromising. It is certainly interesting, but not many people can take this kind of extremity I think. I dont think I want to ever see this again. |

QUOTE(azbro @ Sep 28 2009, 03:50 PM) Drag me to hell... Drag me to hell was funny. I watched it in the cinema. Friend of mine sitting next to me, he got shocked when the title screen appeared lolol. I really dunno how it got high ratings for this Hollywood flick... Soso story but not frightening at all...horror scenes are just to 'light'.. Not for true horror fans...maybe its for the family type of horror movie (like Twilight...which I enjoyed) And and the part where the Lamia possessed that guy, and started dancing on the table. Hilarious! teehee. Anyways, I just re-watched Road to Perdition. Yeapp, old show from 2002. It was many years back, and I was kinda still young. It is a fantastic show. Tom Hanks acted very well. Very different from the Tom Hanks you see in the DaVinci Code/Angels and Demons etc. A very strict father can be seen in his role. I didn't know Daniel Craig was acting. Woah woah, was surprised (few years back didn't know actors names)!! He wasn't the masculine Daniel Craig of 007 back then. Cool antagonist he played though; Favourite quote from the movie by said by him was "It's all so f****** hysterical." Sad ending though, but the way the story is told, it's pretty awesome. Just rewatched Kill Bill volume 1.
I remember watching this show like so many years back. Just had to watch it again Awesome story line. Pretty violent. But blood is a tad bit exaggerated, but nonetheless, it makes it pretty violent. Lucy Liu in her younger days. Oh my gawd. So pretty! But she died |

QUOTE(QuickFire @ Oct 4 2009, 10:43 PM) It's deliberate. Vol. 1 and 2, both damn fine movies. And guess what. I've not watched GI Joe till today GI Joe - This was supposed to suck! Everyone I trust who has seen it says its worse than Transformers 2! The trailers looked did the opposite of whetting my appetite! I really wanted this to suck so bad so that I could proclaim to my friends who liked it "how can you call this turd a good movie?!". Oh boy. I enjoyed it. It's not miles better than Transformers 2. It's immeasurably better. It gave me a slight Spy Kids vibe, a good sense of fun and some obviously bad and cheesy CGI (which I think was deliberate). You miss nothing by not watching it, but it's harmless fun. Plus that Rachel Nichols girl is hot! So that's another reason to see this instead of TF2. Not even district9 |

Finally got to re-watch Kill Bill 2. Had assignments like mad, didn't have the time.
Funny how Kill Bill 1 is rated 18+ and Kill Bill 2 is rated MA15+ here on the dvd covers in Australia.. I found Kill Bill 2 a little more violent and sadistic. Kill Bill 1 had some intestines falling out of stomach and Lucy Liu's japanese minions getting owned by Uma Thurman. But Kill Bill 2 had some Uma Thurman popping an eye. That gave me the heebiie jeebies Both of them, superb. Brilliantly written. Next show to watch - Armageddon This post has been edited by swks26: Oct 9 2009, 09:24 PM |

Oh snap! I just re-watched Armageddon. I think it's the finest and the best show I've watched at the current moment in my life.
Bloody oath! It's a f****** good show ever made!! Gahhh! So good! And the part where the meteors were falling onto New York city.. looked like Transformers. Or rather Transformers looked like that. Best movie I've ever watched! |

QUOTE(Mov_freak @ Oct 11 2009, 09:19 AM) If you have time to "re-watch" Armageddon, do make some time to watch Deep Impact, which I think has a better storyline and less "America is great"! Okay! Noted Well, re-watching because the last time I watch the show was when I was in like primary school So yeah, gotta have the understanding and feel now |

Just watched Changeling and Fight Club
Changeling: It was pretty good. I felt the hate in me when the scene goes to the cops. Especially the captain incharge, he played his character so well. And you would just hate him. I couldn't help notice something about his mouth/teeth, making him have some accent and character. Which was pretty unique and sometimes annoying. ![]() The killer, looked pretty insane and sadistic toward the ending. Especially when he was in court. Loved his character then. I thought the movie would just end at the part when the killer gets hanged. But who knew that one of the boys would return to his family. Niceeeee. Only boring part of this movie was the background music. It makes it feel like the movie is moving wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too slow and makes it boring at some parts. Fight Club: Okay this was just awesome. The narration was awesome. The dialogue was great. The mindf*** was even more awesome. Who knew he had dual personality. That was just awesome. Especially seeing Edward Norton punching and pulling himself around. Ending, when he shot himself, thought he would have died. But guess the bullet when somewhere to his cheeks? This show made me go Wow speechless. Too good! |
